Job Summary
As a Specialized Due Diligence Analyst in KYC Operations, you will conduct in-depth reviews of customer records, focusing on Politically Exposed Persons (PEPs) and Financial Crime Media (FCM) risk. You will work closely with front office, onboarding, compliance, and checker teams to ensure KYC requirements are met and issues are escalated promptly. Your role is essential to maintaining high standards, supporting a culture of accountability, and protecting our business and clients.
Job Responsibilities
- Conduct specialized due diligence on customer records, focusing on PEP identification and related requirements.
- Apply corporate and local due diligence standards and procedures across relevant jurisdictions.
- Review financial crime media information under KYC guidelines and assess potential client impact.
- Gather, analyze, and summarize relevant information, red flags, and risks using public and internal sources.
- Draft and advise on PEP due diligence requirements and required KYC actions.
- Ensure KYC records are updated accurately and consistently.
- Communicate critical due diligence and FCM outcomes to front office and partner teams.
- Build strong partnerships, escalate issues, and remove roadblocks to progress.
Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills
- Experience in KYC processes for global corporate customers.
- Strong English communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Excellent analytical and research skills with high attention to detail.
- Investigative mindset and ability to synthesize findings into clear written summaries.
- Strong accountability and ownership, with a focus on quality and best practices.
- Ability to partner effectively across multiple teams.
- Adaptable and able to operate in a dynamic environment with shifting priorities.
Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills
- AML/KYC compliance background.
- Knowledge of the USA Patriot Act, Bank Secrecy Act, and local AML regulations.
- ACAMS certification.
- University degree in Business Administration, Economics, Law, Information Technology, Engineering, or similar.
- Strong Excel skills; proficiency with Word and PowerPoint; VBA a plus.
- Experience leading special projects and meetings with internal stakeholders.
- Exposure to AI-enabled tools and willingness to adopt emerging technologies that support process improvement and operational excellence.
