Know Your Customer Quality Assurance Specialist (Associate)

Join our Global Know Your Customer (KYC) Quality Assurance (QA) team in Geneva and lead the charge in safeguarding our firm's integrity - drive quality, mentor talent, and make a real impact on global compliance standards!

The Quality Assurance (QA) Team is an integral part of the Controls environment and is responsible for conducting a continuous review against internal Know Your Customer (KYC) standards, procedures and regulatory requirements to ensure quality, completeness, and accuracy of KYC. Our team works closely with the KYC Management Team, Global Financial Crimes Compliance, and the enterprise-wide control program teams to identify, remediate and track issues, and develop controls to sustain improvements as they are made.

As a KYC Quality Assurance Tester within the Quality Assurance (QA) Team, you will be responsible for conducting a continuous review of internal Know Your Customer (KYC) standards, procedures, and regulatory requirements. You will work closely with the KYC Management Team, Global Financial Crimes Compliance, and the enterprise-wide control program teams to ensure quality and accuracy of the KYC profile. Your role will involve performing reviews on New Business and Renewal KYC records, completing additional targeted testing relating to KYC activities, and providing constructive feedback to relevant stakeholders. This role provides an opportunity to contribute to the integrity of our banking operations and to make a significant impact on our compliance with global KYC standards.

This role reports to the QA Process Lead for Know Your Customer Quality Assurance and is pivotal in ensuring compliance with corporate KYC policy requirements while fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement.

Job responsibilities:

  • Tests the quality of approved KYC records against Global KYC Standards and captures results in the case management system.
  • Reviews the reliability and integrity of data collected and challenges the appropriateness of assumptions and made where appropriate.
  • Anticipates challenges and initiates solutions in the QA testing process.
  • Identifies key issues, risks and trends and performs root cause analysis; makes recommendations for addressing identified deficiencies or improvements to business processes.
  • Presents results to key stakeholders, tracks and monitors corrections to identified critical defects.
  • Collaborates with global partners to ensure consistency with the Global QA framework and governance approach.
  • Considers regulatory requirements and best practices to implement changes to process.
  • Maintaining quality and productivity performance metrics at all times.

  • Strong individual contributor with a minimum of 1 year of experience in AML risk management.
  • Knowledge of Geneva and Global AML regulations, compliance requirements, and industry best practices.
  • Must have analytical skills with the ability to assess complex client types and risk exposures.
  • Experience in banking or related industry is essential.
  • Advanced analytical, communication, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to articulate findings/ AML risks and escalate promptly to relevant parties.
  • Ability to conduct root cause analysis and risk analysis.
