JPMSE Data Governance Analyst (all genders)
We are seeking a motivated Data Governance Analyst to join our Data Governance team in Frankfurt and support a wide range of data governance and analytics initiatives. In this role, you will work closely with the Data Governance Manager and collaborate with a variety of local, regional, and global stakeholders to support the completeness, accuracy, consistency, and integrity of JPMSE data in alignment with regulatory requirements.
As an Analyst within our Data Governance team, you will support all lines of business and corporate functions helping drive compliance with regulatory expectations and promote strong data management practices across the organization. This position offers the opportunity to contribute to meaningful cross-functional initiatives in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. The ideal candidate is proactive, detail-oriented, and comfortable working both independently-with a suitable level of supervision-and collaboratively with a broad network of stakeholders and clients at local and global levels. The role is varied and demanding and will appeal to individuals who enjoy problem-solving, continuous learning, and influencing positive change in data management.

Job responsibilities
- Assist in executing Data Governance activities and projects within the legal entity under appropriate supervision.
- Support the team in gathering, organizing, and analyzing data to inform decision-making processes.
- Review, track, and monitor data governance metrics, escalating issues to senior management when necessary.
- Contribute to the implementation, enhancement, and maintenance of the Data Governance Framework (Data Quality, Data Confidence, Data Lineage, etc.) by completing assigned tasks.
- Support the documentation, maintenance, and periodic updates of data governance processes, policies, and procedures.
- Assist in preparing reports, presentations, and supporting materials for data governance initiatives and projects.
- Help maintain accurate records of data issues, including their status, remediation actions, and resolutions.
- Participate in the development of data governance training materials and assist in delivering training sessions.
- Collaborate with colleagues and key stakeholders to promote data integrity, privacy, and security in alignment with regulatory requirements.
Required qualifications, capabilities and skills
- Highly motivated, eager to learn, and proactive in approaching assigned tasks.
- Strong organizational and planning skills, with excellent attention to detail.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team and build strong working relationships.
- Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in a relevant discipline, such as Data Science, Business Administration, Finance, or a related field.
- Fluency in English.
Preferred qualifications, capabilities and skills
- Prior experience or internships in financial services, consulting, or related fields is preferred.
- Awareness of relevant regulatory frameworks (e.g., BCBS 239/RDARR, EU AI Act, GDPR) is considered a plus.
- Foundational knowledge of data management and AI concepts is an advantage.
- German language skills are an advantage.
