JPMSE Compliance - Vice President - Paris
Job Summary:
The Core Compliance - Vice President role is part of the JPMSE Core Compliance team within the 2nd Line of Defence (2LoD). The role is based in Paris, and the team works closely with other EMEA Compliance teams to support regional and global compliance initiatives and programs.
The VP will coordinate and lead the execution of the Core Compliance agenda across J.P. Morgan SE (JPMSE), including its branches located in other European jurisdictions and will report to the Head of Core Compliance. The role will provide day-to-day program oversight across key compliance activities, partnering with stakeholders across Businesses and Control Functions to support consistent processes aligned to European regulatory expectations.
Job responsibilities:
As a JPMSE Core Compliance Vice President in the Core Compliance team, you will coordinate and lead the implementation, oversight, and ongoing coordination of the Core Compliance agenda across JPMSE and its branches, with a focus on key regulatory-required processes and governance activities.
- Coordinating and leading the preparation of governance and oversight materials for Legal Entity governance fora and regulators, driving appropriate escalation and review, and delivering submissions on a timely basis
- Coordinating and leading the execution of the JPMSE Compliance Monitoring & Testing governance and oversight model which includes but is not limited to:
- running the monthly 2LOD governance meetings
- 2LOD test planning support
- tracking of test progress and outcomes
- coordination of reporting to the Head of Core Compliance and the Chief Compliance Officer
- Leading and overseeing JPMSE's contribution to the Legal Entity Risk Assessment (LERA) and Qualitative Risk Appetite Assessment (QRA) by:
- providing and influencing key themes and outcomes
- representing JPMSE in working groups and governance
- partnering with the central coordinating team on timelines, inputs, and final submission of the LERA and QRA to the Chief Compliance Officer and Head of Operational Risk.
- Supporting the Head of Core Compliance on other key strategic initiatives
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills:
- A minimum of three years' relevant Compliance experience or other related experience (such as legal, audit or risk).
- An enquiring mind and good analytic skills
- Very good written and verbal communication skills
- Strong academic background or work achievements in the financial industry
- Self-motivation and proactiveness as well as excellent attention to details
- Good knowledge of EU final regulatory framework
- Excellent organizational skills
- Fluency in English both written and spoken is essential
Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Broad-based IT skills and experience
- Excellent time management skills
