Job Description
We are seeking a Managing Director to lead J.P. Morgan's Digital Infrastructure Finance efforts in North America. The successful candidate will be responsible for driving the growth and execution of digital infrastructure finance transactions, including fiber networks, wireless towers, cloud infrastructure, and related assets, and will collaborate with the Commercial Real Estate team in construction financing for data centers. The Managing Director will report to the global co-head of IFA and will play a key leadership role in shaping the firm's strategy and client engagement in the digital infrastructure sector.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the origination, structuring, and execution of digital infrastructure finance transactions across North America, including project finance, M&A, capital markets, and advisory mandates.
- Develop and implement strategic initiatives to expand J.P. Morgan's presence in the digital infrastructure sector, identifying new business opportunities and market trends.
- Build and maintain senior-level relationships with key clients, investors, industry partners, and stakeholders in the digital infrastructure ecosystem.
- Oversee and mentor a team of infrastructure finance professionals, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture.
- Manage complex transaction processes, including contract negotiation, due diligence, consultant management, and internal approval processes for loans and counterparty exposures.
- Develop and execute rating strategies for digital infrastructure financings.
- Oversee the development and review of financial models and transaction structures.
- Collaborate with coverage and product bankers to pitch for new engagements and develop client relationships.
- Represent J.P. Morgan at industry events, conferences, and client meetings as a thought leader in digital infrastructure finance.
Qualifications
- Minimum 15 years of experience in project/infrastructure finance, with a significant track record in digital infrastructure transactions in North America.
- Deep expertise in bank loan, bond, structured products, and derivative structures relevant to digital infrastructure assets.
- Bachelor's Degree, preferably in accounting, finance, economics, engineering, or a related field.
- Established relationships with digital infrastructure clients, investors, and industry participants in North America.
- Advanced knowledge of project finance modeling and financial products including bank loans, bonds, structured products and rates.
- Proven leadership and team management skills, with experience overseeing senior professionals and cross-functional teams.
- Strong quantitative, analytical, and strategic thinking skills.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple complex transactions and deliver results in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate complex financial strategies to clients and internal stakeholders.
