Drive HR excellence by owning HR payroll accounting, controls, and month‑end activities for our Argentina team, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely financial close.

About the Role Join our Argentina HR team to strengthen our payroll accounting and control environment. You will partner with HR, Finance, and Payroll to validate payroll inputs, reconcile statutory and social contributions, and support a smooth month‑end close. We value proactive, detail‑oriented professionals who bring analytical rigor and a continuous‑improvement mindset.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform payroll accounting analysis across salaries, statutory and social contributions, and other compensation elements; validate calculations and postings to ensure accuracy and compliance.
  • Prepare and review reconciliations between HR/Payroll systems and Finance ledgers; investigate variances, remediate exceptions, and document resolutions.
  • Coordinate with HR, Finance, and Payroll on month‑end close activities, ensuring timelines, approvals, and controls are met; support accruals and true‑ups as needed.
  • Monitor compliance with Argentina labor and social security requirements as they relate to payroll accounting; translate regulatory changes into control updates.
  • Build, maintain, and execute control checklists and validations across the payroll cycle; evidence controls for audit and regulatory reviews.
  • Develop and track operational and control metrics; identify root causes of recurring issues and drive corrective actions.
  • Lead or contribute to process‑improvement initiatives focused on accuracy, standardization, and automation of payroll accounting workflows.
  • Produce management reporting and dashboards that summarize variances, risks, and control status for stakeholders.

Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Human Resources, or related field.
  • Verbal and written English proficiency
  • 5+ years of progressive experience in HR, People Operations, or Finance with a strong focus on payroll accounting and controls.
  • Solid understanding of Argentina payroll concepts and statutory/social contributions; familiarity with related regulatory requirements.
  • Strong analytical skills with hands‑on experience in reconciliations, validations, and exception management.
  • Proficiency working with HR/Payroll platforms and reporting tools; comfort interpreting data and mapping to accounting entries.
  • Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines, especially during month‑end close.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills; proven ability to partner with HR, Finance, and Payroll teams.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to data quality, including controls, reconciliations, and validations.
  • Demonstrated experience in process improvement, standardization, and automation.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with SAP HR/Payroll or similar enterprise HRIS and downstream finance integrations.
  • Prior exposure to audit, controls, or regulatory reviews in HR/Payroll contexts.
  • Experience in multinational environments and cross‑functional projects.
  • Advanced Excel or data analysis skills; experience building dashboards or automated checks.
