HR Accounting Analyst

As a Payroll Accounting Analyst, you will provide financial accounting support for LATAM and Canada, managing monthly accounting processes, reporting, and analysis. You will ensure financial information is fairly presented in accordance with US GAAP and firm policies, support audit activities, and maintain effective communication across a global organization. Your role will contribute to process improvement and automation initiatives, and you will build strong relationships with internal customers and partners.
- Job Responsibilities
- Manage monthly accounting processes, reporting, and analysis for supported areas
- Develop and document policies and procedures for managed areas
- Ensure financial information is fairly presented in accordance with US GAAP and firm policies
- Provide timely and accurate financial information to management
- Support internal and external audit activities and inquiries with a controls mindset
- Maintain effective communication lines across a global organization
- Establish and maintain relationships with internal customers, including Planning and Analysis, HR, Sourcing, Procurement, Accounts Payable, Corporate Tax, and Legal Entity Controllers
- Oversee General Ledger bookings and monthly close processes, including balance sheet reconciliation, journal entries, and variance analysis
- Drive process improvements and support automation initiatives
- Execute deliverables with strong analytical and financial skills
- Take ownership and work independently, while contributing to the broader team
Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
- Minimum 4 years of relevant experience in accounting or finance, with demonstrated career progression
- Strong US GAAP accounting knowledge
- Experience with General Ledger bookings and oversight of monthly close processes, including balance sheet reconciliation, journal entries, and variance analysis
- Structured mindset with process improvement orientation
- Proven ability to interface with various partners and customers
- Strong interpersonal and presentation skills
- Strong analytical and financial skills
- Creative self-starter with strong initiative
- Ability to multi-task and succeed in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Experience with automated financial systems (SAP), database management, worksheet-modeling tools (Excel), and Essbase
Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills
- Public accounting experience, large corporate experience, and/or CPA
- Experience supporting process improvement and automation initiatives
- Multi-national language skills
- Experience working in multinational organizations
- Commitment to accuracy and compliance
- Experience with payroll accounting in LATAM or Canada
- Familiarity with internal audit and controls processes
