As Executive Director, US Tax and Complex Pay Operations, you will oversee payroll tax operations, garnishments, complex pay resolution cases, and payroll data governance for our US workforce. Managing a team of specialists, you will ensure regulatory compliance, resolve intricate pay issues, and maintain robust data integrity. Reporting to the Head of Americas HR Operations, you will drive process improvements and deliver exceptional results in a fast-paced, complex environment.
Job responsibilities
- Lead and develop a high-performing team responsible for US payroll tax operations, garnishments, complex pay resolution cases, and payroll data governance.
- Oversee all payroll tax compliance activities, including filings, payments, reconciliations, and regulatory reporting at federal, state, and local levels.
- Direct the administration of wage garnishments, levies, and child support orders, ensuring timely and accurate processing.
- Manage complex pay resolution cases, partnering with HR, Legal, and Finance to resolve escalated issues and ensure employee satisfaction.
- Establish and maintain robust payroll data governance practices to ensure data accuracy, integrity, and security.
- Design and implement policies, procedures, and controls to maintain compliance and operational efficiency.
- Monitor legislative and regulatory changes, updating processes and systems as needed.
- Drive automation and process innovation to improve accuracy, efficiency, and scalability.
- Respond to audits and inquiries from regulatory agencies regarding payroll tax, garnishments, and pay issues.
- Prepare and present operational reports and key metrics to the Head of Americas HR Operations and senior leadership.
- Support business expansions and M&A activities from a payroll tax and complex pay perspective.

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or related field.
- 12+ years of experience in US payroll tax, garnishments, and complex pay operations within a large, complex organization.
- Deep expertise in federal, state, and local payroll tax and garnishment regulations.
- Proven ability to lead and develop high-performing teams.
- Advanced analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills.
