Head of Platforms and Infrastructure - Executive Director, APAC Chief Data & Analytics Office
The Chief Data & Analytics Office (CDAO) at JPMorgan Chase is pivotal in advancing the firm's data and analytics capabilities, ensuring strong adherence to data & AI risk & control while enabling the data & analytics strategy for superior decision-making and business outcomes to serve our clients and markets. By leveraging data & AI/ML, the CDAO develops innovative solutions to support commercial goals, enhance productivity, and manage risks. The Asia Pacific CDAO advances the firm's data and analytics strategy, platforms, solutions, capabilities, and governance to deliver trustworthy, responsible, innovative, and commercially value outcomes across the APAC markets and businesses.
As the Head of Platforms and Infrastructure, this leader will deliver and enable APAC-specific platforms, ensuring they meet local business and regulatory needs. The role will pave the path for vendor integration, lead Data & AI engineering, and drive last mile integration and embedment of data and AI solutions into business processes. By partnering with internal and external stakeholders, they will create robust, scalable, and compliant infrastructure that empowers data-driven transformation across the region.
Key Responsibilities
- Deep expertise in architecting and operating large-scale, distributed data platforms (e.g., Spark, Hadoop, cloud-native services) supporting both batch and real-time analytics.
- Advanced hands-on experience with AI/ML platform engineering, including MLOps pipelines, model lifecycle management, and scalable GPU/TPU infrastructure.
- Strong proficiency in implementing data governance, metadata management, and fine-grained access controls using enterprise tools (e.g., Collibra, Ranger, Immuta).
- Technical leadership in automating regulatory compliance for APAC (e.g., data localization, cross-border controls, encryption, audit logging) using cloud-native policy engines and security frameworks.
- Proven ability to design and optimize highly available, resilient, and performant platforms with robust monitoring, observability, and disaster recovery.
- Skilled in integrating and operationalizing modular, reusable platform components to accelerate AI/ML adoption and reduce duplication.
- Experience leading cross-functional engineering teams, translating regulatory and business requirements into scalable technical solutions.
- Up-to-date knowledge of emerging technologies (e.g., LLMOps, privacy-preserving ML, confidential computing) and best practices for future-proofing platform capabilities.
Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills
- Bachelor's in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Applied Statistics, Mathematics, or related quantitative field.
- Formal training or certification on experience in AI/ML solution development, delivery, and technical leadership within financial services and 15+ years of experience in a similar role
- Proven track record in platform engineering, infrastructure management, or technology leadership roles within financial services or related industries.
- Deep understanding of APAC market dynamics, regulatory environments, and data privacy requirements.
- Experience in delivering APAC-specific platforms, vendor integration, and Data & AI engineering.
