The Chief Data & Analytics Office (CDAO) at JPMorgan Chase is pivotal in advancing the firm's data and analytics capabilities, ensuring strong adherence to data & AI risk & control while enabling the data & analytics strategy for superior decision-making and business outcomes to serve our clients and markets. By leveraging data & AI/ML, the CDAO develops innovative solutions to support commercial goals, enhance productivity, and manage risks. The Asia Pacific Chief Data & Analytics Office (CDAO) advances the firm's data and analytics strategy, platforms, solutions, capabilities, and governance to deliver trustworthy, responsible, innovative, and commercially value outcomes across the APAC markets and businesses.

The Head of Data Products - Executive Director will lead innovation through the development of products and leverage their advanced capabilities to challenge traditional approaches, remove barriers to success, and foster a culture of continuous innovation to enable cross-functional teams to create groundbreaking solutions that address customer needs. The role will engage with internal stakeholders, contribute to the strategic direction of data product development, enable reusing and scaling of data products, and ensure alignment with the firm's broader data and analytics goals.

Job Responsibilities

  • Define and execute the regional strategy for data products, ensuring alignment with global objectives and local regional needs
  • Lead the design and development of data products that support AI and advanced analytics, ensuring they meet business needs and drive value.
  • Enable seamless integration of internal and external data sources, supporting interoperability and consistent data standards.
  • Ensure the development and enablement of APIs and self-service capabilities for data access, empowering business users and data scientists to leverage platform capabilities.
  • Oversee data product portfolio, driving innovation, quality, and customer value.
  • Oversee data publishing workflows, ensuring data products are validated, documented, and made available to authorized users in a timely manner.
  • Support and enable the design, implementation, and optimization of enterprise data platforms, leveraging technologies such as Databricks and Snowflake for scalable data storage, processing, and analytics.
  • Architect solutions that support large-scale data ingestion, transformation, and real-time analytics, using distributed computing and cloud-native frameworks.
  • Enable the adoption of data governance frameworks, including metadata management, data cataloging, and compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Collaborate with compliance and risk teams to ensure platforms meet regulatory requirements for data privacy, protection, and auditability.
  • Coach and mentor the product team on best practices, such as solution generation, market research, storyboarding, mind-mapping, prototyping methods, product adoption strategies, and product delivery, enabling them to effectively deliver on objectives
  • Own product performance and be accountable for investing in enhancements to achieve business objectives
  • Establish and track key performance indicators for data products, using insights to optimize offerings and drive growth.
  • Foster a culture of technical excellence, innovation, and continuous improvement within the data platform and product teams.

Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Applied Statistics, Mathematics, or related field
  • 15+ years of experience or equivalent expertise delivering products, projects, or technology applications
  • Extensive knowledge of the product development life cycle, technical design, and data analytics
  • Proven ability to influence the adoption of key product life cycle activities including discovery, ideation, strategic development, requirements definition, and value management
  • Experience driving change within organizations and managing stakeholders across multiple functions
  • Diverse problem-solving experience, such as extensive work experience in data strategy, product management, management consulting, internal strategy, or a related field within financial services.
  • Strong knowledge and understanding of data, AI, and emerging technologies.
  • Exceptional analytical skills with the ability to apply quantitative approaches to problem-solving.
  • Ability to quickly assimilate new topics and information with excellent attention to detail.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills; ability to effectively communicate with senior management.
