Global Corporate Banking - Associate, Venture Capital Relationships Team, Innovation Economy
J.P. Morgan aims to be the bank for the innovation economy. As part of our Global Corporate Bank, the IE team provides corporate banking services globally to high growth, innovative businesses, ranging from early / growth stage venture-backed companies to large publicly listed enterprises. We serve verticals including applied tech, biotech, climate tech, disruptive commerce, fintech, internet and software.
The VCRT sits within J.P. Morgan's Innovation Economy (IE) team, and is responsible for building deep relationships with leading venture capital (VC) firms.
In this position, you will cover leading VC firms across Greater China and work closely with different lines of business within J.P. Morgan, to deliver the full suite of firmwide services, including commercial banking, investment banking, lending solutions, payments, securities services as well as private banking and asset management services, to be the trusted banking partner for our VC clients and their portfolio companies.

Job Responsibilities:
- Covering our VC clients in Greater China, focusing on originating firmwide business opportunities through these VC relationships
- Building close relationships with key decision makers at our VC clients
- Working closely with teams across J.P. Morgan's Commercial & Investment Bank, Private Bank and other business segments to identify and pursue business opportunities
- Identifying high potential emerging VC firms in Greater China
Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills:
- Minimum 6-8 years of experience at a leading VC fund or a major global bank in a client coverage role
- Minimum Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Economics or other related disciplines
- Excellent communication skills in English and Mandarin
- Strategic thinking with strong sales and business development skills
- Experience in working collaboratively with multiple lines of business or different service providers to deliver a highly coordinated, single-firm approach to clients
- Self-motivated, with a willingness to learn about new, emerging verticals, and work in a fast-paced, action-oriented environment
Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills:
- Strong relationships with decision-makers in leading VC firms in Greater China
- Experience in originating commercial banking, investment banking and other business opportunities from or through VC firms
