GFCC Associate

As a GFCC Associate in the Compliance and Anti-Financial Crimes team, you will support the execution of compliance and anti-financial crime programs for the Riyadh branch. You will work independently, exercise sound judgment, and ensure alignment with regulatory requirements and firm policies. Your expertise will help drive operational excellence and maintain high standards of risk management.
Job Responsibilities:
- Support the execution of Global Financial Crimes Compliance (GFCC) responsibilities, including regulatory change, reporting, risk assessments, and escalations.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of regulatory requirements and the firm's AML/KYC/Sanctions framework.
- Ensure timely completion of assigned tasks and maintain local policies and procedures documentation.
- Guide integration of local Client Due Diligence (CDD) requirements into KYC policies and procedures.
- Conduct investigations and research on suspicious activities related to money laundering and terrorist financing, escalating as needed.
- Perform sanctions screening investigations and support reporting to authorities.
- Assist the MLRO with Suspicious Activity Report (SAR) and sanctions escalation filings.
- Provide feedback and escalate issues identified from AML investigations and due diligence reviews.
- Identify, coordinate, and escalate risks and issues through established governance structures.
- Support regional workstreams and senior management initiatives.
- Develop and maintain financial crime-related management information and reporting.

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills:
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in the financial services industry.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
- Experience in Anti-Money Laundering and Sanctions.
- Strong investigative and analytical skills with proven problem-solving ability.
- Ability to make decisions, multi-task, and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
- Accountability for meeting deadlines and adhering to timelines.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills for effective collaboration at all levels.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in Arabic and English, with the ability to summarize complex topics clearly.
Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills:
- Experience supporting compliance activities in a multinational environment.
- Familiarity with local and international regulatory frameworks.
- Advanced proficiency in compliance and risk management tools.
- Experience within corporate banking.
