As a Commercial and Investment Banking - GBDH Data Steward Ops - Specialist within Global Banking Data Hub (GBDH), you ensure timely, high-quality data delivery across finance, operations, and technology stakeholders. You will oversee daily data quality operations on AWS, maintain strong control discipline, and drive process improvements across global teams. You will also coordinate production issue remediation, manage JIRA for transparent status reporting, and support testing for new functional releases.

Job Responsibilities

  • Partner with global teams to deliver timely, high-quality data to finance, operations, and technology stakeholders.
  • Maintain JIRA in alignment with Control Standards to enable accurate status reporting.
  • Build and sustain strong cross-functional relationships across regions.
  • Communicate updates and impacts promptly across geographically diverse teams.
  • Identify and resolve data quality and processing issues across AWS datasets.
  • Drive continuous process improvements to enhance efficiency and controls.
  • Diagnose production issues and coordinate remediation with Ops and Technology.
  • Conduct functional testing of new releases to strengthen operational cycles.
  • Monitor AWS pipelines, Redshift and Databricks jobs, and data quality controls.
  • Document procedures, metrics, and root-cause analyses for transparency and auditability.
  • Escalate risks, control gaps, and SLA breaches, ensuring timely mitigation.

Required Qualifications, Capabilities and Skills

  • Hold a BS/BA degree;
  • Bring 2+ years operating in production environments across financial services.
  • Demonstrate process innovation and continuous improvement mindset.
  • Execute strategic process and technology initiatives aligned to business and finance goals.
  • Adapt quickly to evolving priorities and challenge the status quo constructively.
  • Cultivate strong relationships and communicate clearly across functions and regions.
  • Apply proficiency in Microsoft Office and SQL, with basic AWS knowledge including Redshift and Databricks.

Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities and Skills

  • MBA or related master's a plus., leverage hands-on experience in AWS services for data engineering and stewardship.
  • Utilize Agile practices and tooling to manage backlogs and sprints.
  • Apply working knowledge of Python for data validation and automation.
  • Employ Alteryx for workflow orchestration and data wrangling.
  • Visualize insights with Tableau and build quality dashboards.
  • Administer JIRA workflows, boards, and reporting for control adherence.
  • Implement data governance frameworks and test automation to improve data quality and release reliability.
