As a Fund Servicing Associate II (Tax Manager) in the Tax Services team, you will provide comprehensive tax services to internal and external clients, manage tax queries and deliverables, and support a range of tax-related projects. You will collaborate with stakeholders across the organization to ensure high-quality delivery of products and services, contribute to process improvements, and support new product development. In this role, you will apply technical tax skills to the business operating model and help strengthen the control environment.
Job Responsibilities:
- Deliver a full range of tax services and reporting to internal and external clients, including preparation and review of tax distributions, tax returns, supplementary tax reporting, and tax advice on corporate actions.
- Liaise with clients regarding tax reporting requirements and queries.
- Analyze tax information from investment and accounting systems and in-house tax reporting tools.
- Support projects related to clients, process improvements, and product development.
- Identify and mitigate operational risks associated with tax reporting and processes.
- Assist with drafting and maintaining Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) and tax reporting policies.
- Share knowledge and actively develop self and others within the team.
- Build and manage a team of tax analysts and managers.
- Take ownership of deliverables to ensure timely and accurate delivery.
- Work closely with stakeholders to understand business requirements and develop optimal solutions.
- Analyze and document functional and non-functional business requirements.

Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills:
- Minimum eight years of experience in tax, custody, professional accounting, or financial services.
- Strong technical tax knowledge.
- Understanding of the taxation of financial arrangements (TOFA).
- Achievement-oriented with strong attention to detail and focus on continuous process improvement.
- Strong communication skills and ability to partner with stakeholders.
- Ability to work autonomously with a high degree of accountability.
- Client-focused approach.
- Ability to adapt to change.
Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills:
- Experience managing tax teams in a financial services environment.
- Proven track record in process improvement and risk mitigation.
- Experience with Australian Tax and Accounting Standards.
- Strong presentation and reporting skills.
- Experience developing robust training plans for new hires.
