As an Executive Director - Technical Program Manager role within Document Platform Engineering, you will shape and deliver a multi-workstream transformation across ingestion, ECM/storage, search, workflow/orchestration, and records/retention, while turning AI/ML and GenAI opportunities into scalable, production-ready capabilities.

This is an opportunity to lead with enterprise influence-bringing disciplined execution, budget ownership, architectural judgment, and executive-level communication to align senior stakeholders, manage risk and dependencies, and deliver measurable outcomes with strong governance and financial transparency.

Job responsibilities

  • Define and execute program strategy and roadmaps for AI-enabled document platforms, aligned to firmwide priorities, outcomes, funding, and capacity.
  • Lead multi-workstream delivery across ingestion, ECM/storage, search, workflow/orchestration, records/retention, and AI-enabled document capabilities.
  • Translate business and user needs into clear engineering requirements, partnering with architects and technology teams to manage dependencies and deliver scalable platform solutions.
  • Drive AI/ML execution from use-case definition and data strategy through deployment, monitoring, and measurable value realization.
  • Run executive-ready governance across milestones, dependencies, risks, KPIs/OKRs, decisions, and management reporting.
  • Own program financials, including annual planning, forecasting, spend tracking, vendor costs, variance management, and benefits reporting.
  • Manage risks across delivery, architecture, resiliency, security, third-party, controls, and AI/model governance.
  • Influence senior stakeholders and cross-functional partners to drive alignment, timely decisions, and effective execution.
  • Use feedback, adoption insights, and production learnings to prioritize improvements, enable change readiness, and measure usage, value, and outcomes.
  • Improve operating mechanisms, reporting, and delivery practices to reduce friction, increase productivity, and accelerate issue resolution.
  • Provide thought leadership on responsible AI adoption and platform modernization across the document ecosystem.

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • 15+ years of experience, or equivalent expertise, leading complex technology programs in large-scale enterprises.
  • Proven delivery experience across document management, content platforms, AI-enabled workflow, search, classification, and records/retention capabilities.
  • Strong technical and architectural fluency across solution design, APIs/integrations, data flows, resiliency, scalability, and platform trade-offs.
  • Working knowledge of AI/ML delivery, including data strategy, model lifecycle, deployment patterns, MLOps, and value measurement.
  • Architecture background or equivalent experience partnering with architects to shape roadmaps, evaluate options, and drive enterprise platform decisions.
  • Track record of delivering on time and within budget, with transparent governance over scope, funding, resources, risks, and outcomes.
  • Executive presence, stakeholder influence, and strong analytical judgment, with the ability to align senior leaders around priorities and convert ambiguity into clear plans and executable outcomes.

Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • Experience delivering GenAI-enabled document capabilities, including intelligent processing, summarization, RAG, document Q&A, and automated routing.
  • Familiarity with AI governance, model risk considerations, traceability, monitoring, evaluation, and responsible AI practices.
  • Experience with content repositories, ECM platforms, workflow engines, search/indexing, data pipelines, and enterprise integration patterns.
  • Strong financial and resource management discipline across budgeting, forecasting, spend governance, and value tracking.
  • Experience operating in controlled environments with SDLC discipline, change management, operational readiness, and third-party risk oversight.
  • Proficiency with execution and reporting tools such as Jira, Confluence, Excel, PowerPoint, Power BI, or Tableau.
