Job Summary

As the Executive Director within the Auto F&BM team you will provide real-time insights to sales leadership on volume & profitability and does so at a national, divisional, regional, market & employee level. The team understands all revenue and expense streams and is able to speak to detailed P&L activity while also being able to simplify the P&L story for a non-finance audience. The team has a strong understanding of key business drivers, including hiring, sales productivity, compensation practices, budget/forecast, target setting, sales conversion, customer satisfaction, competitive landscape, pricing, and ad hoc requests. The team is able to translate detailed understanding of each of these topics into easily consumed, actionable, fact-based analysis.

Financial Analysis is responsible for partnering across the firm to provide financial and strategic analysis, oversight, and coordination of budgeting and forecasting. Our Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) teams are responsible for a wide range of activities including financial control, forecasting, and budgeting, analysis of financial/business metrics, delivery of weekly/monthly/quarterly management reporting, development of new reporting capabilities (e.g., dashboards), and advising the line of business CFOs on how to increase profitability and efficiencies.

Job responsibilities

  • Manage annual and continual financial planning for product areas; provide business rationale and decisions for month-end performance and forecasting; and conduct reviews and analyses of product financial performance, consumption and demand planning, budgeting, billing, trend analysis, and exception reports.
  • Develop recommendations affecting business procedures and operations, and maintain financial and reporting systems.
  • Drive efficiency reporting, analytics, and strategy, including location strategy and span-of-control analysis.
  • Create financial business cases to support business initiatives and produce weekly, monthly, and quarterly reports as required.
  • Report on and monitor key metrics, drive data quality initiatives across the product area, and help define future needs of the product area.
  • Develop and track performance metrics, create presentations, and provide financial analysis on a variety of topics to senior management.
  • Help design new reports and dashboards to efficiently deliver financial results to senior management.
  • Enhance controls and streamline processes, introducing automation where possible.
  • Prepare analytical insights for partner reports and customer penetration metrics.
  • Support ad hoc requests from the business and senior management.
  • Ensure reports are insightful and include commentary on key movements and watch items; proactively identify trends and drivers and provide analytical inputs to customers.

Required qualifications, capabilities and skills

  • CA or MBA (Finance) or similar educational background, with 15+ years of post‑qualification experience.
  • Strong financial analytical skills with the ability to interpret P&L drivers (volume, mix, pricing, credit, opex) and translate them into concise executive insights.
  • Excellent communication and partnering skills; ability to articulate complex issues clearly to finance and non‑finance audiences.
  • Ability to multi‑task and work autonomously within a team environment; highly motivated self‑starter with strong time management and prioritization.
  • Solution‑oriented mindset; capable of researching issues and recommending practical, data‑driven resolutions.
  • Adaptable to change and ambiguity; able to thrive and think clearly under pressure and tight deadlines.
  • Expert knowledge of Excel (pivot tables, macros, arrays) and proficiency in MS Access; strong analytical and problem‑solving skills to handle large datasets.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills; inquisitive, enthusiastic, and diligent, with the ability to challenge the status quo constructively.

  • Experience in the banking industry.
  • Knowledge of Essbase, VBA, and SAP is an added advantage.
