Join our dynamic team as an Equity Derivatives Trade Support Transformation Associate, where you will play a pivotal role in driving strategic change and delivering impactful results across the APAC Corporate and Investment Bank Equities business, focusing on Equity Derivatives. This role blends hands-on trade support with a focus on process improvement, automation, and strategic project delivery.

As an Equity Derivatives Trade Support Transformation Associate within the Equity Derivatives Middle Office, you will collaborate across business, operations, and technology functions to enhance operational efficiency, streamline workflows, and support transformative initiatives. Leveraging data analytics, automation, and project management skills, you will help shape the future of trade support and middle office operations.

Job Responsibilities

  • Drive and support strategic projects focused on process improvement, automation, and operational efficiency across Cash Equities, Equity Derivatives, and Prime Finance.
  • Provide operational support for equity derivatives trading activities, including trade capture, booking, reconciliation, and risk management system updates.
  • Scope, elicit, analyze, and document business requirements using BPM and analytics tools. Perform root cause analysis to identify opportunities for process enhancements and automation.
  • Manage and deliver complex projects, ensuring alignment with business strategy and timely delivery of commitments. Prepare and execute UAT, translating business requirements into test plans.
  • Collaborate with trading, sales, client servicing, business managers, product control, legal, compliance, settlement, and control teams to ensure seamless execution and resolution of queries.
  • Utilize data analytics, AI/ML, and digital tools (e.g., Alteryx, Tableau, Xceptor, Robotics) to monitor program progress, make informed decisions, and drive data-driven enhancements.
  • Ensure all controls are diligently performed and regulatory obligations are fulfilled. Participate in regulatory change initiatives and design controls for new business opportunities.
  • Contribute to strategic initiatives, keep improving and evolving processes and business architecture, and foster a culture of continuous learning and growth.

Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills

  • Minimum 5 years' experience in a middle office, trade support, or project management role within financial services, with strong understanding of Cash Equities, Equity Derivatives, and Prime Finance workflows.
  • Proven ability to lead and manage process improvement or transformation projects across multiple business units and product lines.
  • Strong product knowledge of equity derivatives (e.g., Equity Swaps, Options, Futures, ETFs) and front-to-back operations processes.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in data analytics, automation, and use of digital tools (e.g., Alteryx, Tableau, Xceptor, VBA, SQL).
  • Experience in business analysis, process documentation, and delivering complex projects for Front Office, Operations, or Technology.
  • Excellent problem-solving, verbal, and written communication skills, with the ability to interact professionally with senior executives, managers, and subject matter experts.
  • Exceptional attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to multi-task in a high-pressure environment.
  • Self-motivated, able to deliver with minimal supervision, and effective in team environments.

Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills

  • Experience with Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning use cases to enhance project outcomes.
  • Hands-on automation experience to streamline workflows and increase efficiency.
  • Deep expertise in statistical analysis, experimental design, and causal inference.
  • Language skills such as Mandarin are an asset.
