Job Title: DPS F&BM Planning & Analysis Infrastructure COE Business Associate
Overview:
As an Associate in Planning & Analysis, you will play a pivotal role in coordinating expense budgeting and forecasting processes, preparing management reports, and delivering insightful presentations. You will collaborate closely with firmwide teams to support expense planning, analysis, and reporting for senior leadership.
About Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A):
FP&A leads and coordinates the expense budgeting and forecasting process, including short- and long-term projections of expenses across various scenarios. The team partners with business units and firmwide groups to prepare management reports and presentations for Senior Management.
Key Responsibilities
- Month-End Reporting:
Take full ownership of CIB DPS Central P&A month-end expense reporting, partnering extensively with P&A leads and Finance & Business Managers. - Reporting & Analysis:
Execute month-end activities, including tracking changes, data aggregation, validation, mapping, and preparing tools for expense reporting. - Flash Reporting:
Deliver timely expense and headcount reports against plan/outlook, conduct variance analysis, and track movements across functions and business units. - Executive Management Reporting:
Prepare monthly Executive Management Reports (EMR) for the DPS CFO and management team, focusing on expense trends and drivers. - Cost Center Analysis:
Develop detailed cost center allocation reports and analyses, incorporating time, organizational, and scenario dimensions across all major businesses. - Stakeholder Engagement:
Collaborate effectively with stakeholders, finance managers, and aligned teams to update expense allocation rules, methodologies, and business events. - Forecasting & Budgeting Support:
Assist with monthly expense forecasts, mid-year outlooks, annual budgeting exercises, and ad-hoc expense reporting and analysis. - Support Key Initiatives:
Contribute to strategic DPS initiatives such as location strategy, expense reduction programs, and resolution & recovery efforts. - Management Reviews & Analytics:
Provide support for management reviews and deliver value-added expense analytics. - Expense Allocation Ownership:
Manage end-to-end CIB DPS (Ops & Tech) expense allocation processes, including identification, aggregation, and assignment of costs to front office businesses. - Control & Governance:

Drive robust control processes for allocation rules, billing keys, operating margins, cost center mismatches, and blocked centers through coordination with Ops & Tech Business Managers and CTOs.
Enhance transparency in inter- and intra-business expense allocations, explain allocation drivers, and drive process improvements and consistency across allocation modules.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a technical discipline.
- 1-4 years of relevant experience in finance, planning, or analysis.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail, with the ability to deliver clear and concise data analysis and presentations.
- Effective communication and stakeholder management skills; proven ability to work collaboratively across teams and geographies.
- Advanced proficiency in Excel; experience with Macros, MS Access, Alteryx, and financial modeling is a plus.
- Experience with QlikView or Tableau for management reporting is advantageous.
- Prior experience working with global stakeholders is highly desirable.
