Data Science Director

As an Executive Director- Data Science in the Chase 360 team, you will lead our data science initiatives and drive game-changing insights. In this pivotal role, you will spearhead a team of talented data professionals, bridging the gap between advanced analytics and strategic decision-making. You will build & execute the vision to expand our existing set of data assets and develop new capabilities to propel our business forward.
Job Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage a team of data scientists, providing guidance, mentorship, and support to drive results.
- Articulate a vision and execute a roadmap for developing an evergreen list of expanded data assets and capabilities.
- Develop attributes and enable implementation of data-driven strategies to optimize and enhance credit and fraud risk performance.
- Leverage cutting-edge data mining, and statistical modeling techniques to uncover valuable insights from complex, structured, and unstructured data sources.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with key stakeholders to identify business opportunities and address challenges.
- Drive innovation by exploring new technologies and methodologies to improve data analytics capabilities.
- Develop and deliver compelling presentations and reports to communicate insights and recommendations to senior leadership and key stakeholders.
- Stay abreast of emerging trends, technologies, and best practices in data science, continuously enhancing the team's capabilities and driving innovation.
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Master's degree in a quantitative field such as Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Physics, or a related discipline.
- Minimum of 8 years of hands-on experience in data science, with a proven track record of delivering impactful, data-driven solutions to complex business problems.
- Deep expertise of the Consumer Financial Services industry
- Robust knowledge of statistical modeling, data mining techniques, and programming languages (e.g., Python, R, SQL).
- Strong business acumen and the ability to translate complex analytical insights into actionable recommendations that drive strategic decision-making.
- Exceptional problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically and creatively to address multifaceted challenges.
- Exceptional storytelling and persuasion skills, with the ability to effectively communicate complex concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Proven leadership skills, with the ability to inspire, mentor, and develop a high-performing team of data professionals.
- Experience working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
