Data Management Lead - Product Owner

Lead the future of data-driven success with our Wholesale External Party Product Team's seamless Master Data Management implementation. Contributing to the broader Chief Data Office agenda, the Reference Data Product (RDP) organization is entrusted to provide reference data products which support and enhance the needs of our business consumers. Reference Data Product's core functions are Business Relationship Management, Product Solutions, and Portfolio Management.

As a product owner within the commercial and investiment banking line of business, you will be responsible for delivery of product features for various projects including product enhancements, regulatory changes, production fixes and product adoptions. The Wholesale External Party Product Team is responsible for end to end product implementation for the Master Data Management (MDM) system, supporting our overall product strategy.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Engage with stakeholders to understand & document business requirements
  • Understand business problems and opportunities in the context of the requirements and recommend solutions that enable the organization to achieve business goals
  • Partner with product delivery leads and technology to identify and design solutions that satisfy requirements
  • Conduct data analysis to support product solution recommendations
  • Manage Jira backlog, including creating Jira stories, backlog prioritization, product testing, defect tracking and release management activities
  • Primary point of contact to stakeholders and technology to drive prioritization, development phases, sprint, and agile lifecycle of a project
  • Independently lead and direct initiatives to completion and manage risks/issues

Required Qualifications, Skills and Capabilities:

  • 5+ years product owner experience
  • 3+ years experience working in an Agile environment
  • 3+ years experience in a financial services organization
  • Strong communication, presentation skills, relationship building and leadership skills
  • Attention to detail and ability to work independently
  • Problem solving and decision-making skills
  • Ability to perform in a fast-paced, changing, environment with tight deadlines

Preferred Qualifications, Skills and Capabilities:

  • People management experience
  • Experience in a regulatory/compliance environment is beneficial
  • Previous experience in master data management and reference data is a plus.
