Data Domain Architect Vice President - BWM Finance Data & Insights Team
You'll shape the future of finance data for our business banking stakeholders by building trusted, automated data products and reporting. As a Data Domain Architect Vice President in the Finance Data & Insights team, you design and deliver data models, products, and reporting that enable accurate, timely, and consistent financial insights. You collaborate with finance leadership, planning and analysis, and controller teams to understand what decisions they need to make and the data required to make them. You work closely with technology and data engineering partners to implement automated, well-controlled solutions. You prioritize adoption and quality so that stakeholders rely on a single source of truth for key metrics and results, using inclusive, candidate-facing language per guidance.
You partner with analytics, technology, and product teams to translate complex business needs into scalable data models and standard reporting. You guide stakeholders through migration from legacy reporting to modern dashboards and governed datasets, closing data gaps and driving adoption. You also perform targeted ad hoc analyses and continuously improve reporting processes for business banking finance.
Job responsibilities
- Partner with finance stakeholders to elicit reporting requirements, define data needs, and map supporting processes that meet business objectives.
- Manage delivery with data engineering and technology partners; coordinate timelines, scope, and dependencies to achieve outcomes.
- Ensure robust testing and validation of data products and reports; confirm results align with business rules and reconcile to financial sources.
- Translate business requirements into prototype solutions and implement with appropriate quality, controls, and a sustainable operating model.
- Design and refine conceptual, logical, and physical data models; collaborate with data owners and domain leads to align definitions and lineage.
- Lead or partner with business intelligence teams to deliver standard reporting (e.g., Tableau dashboards, ThoughtSpot liveboards/worksheets, Essbase cubes).
- Assess current reporting sources, identify and resolve data gaps, and drive adoption of governed datasets as the single source of truth.
- Perform ad hoc analyses to inform decisions and modernize reporting processes and standards for business banking finance.
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Minimum 10 years of experience across management information systems, business intelligence, and/or analytics.
- Strong proficiency in SQL and advanced Excel functions.
- Exposure to one or more modern data platforms and BI toolsets: AWS, Databricks or Snowflake; Tableau or ThoughtSpot.
- Ability to manage multiple projects, prioritize complex work, and drive results.
- Ability to translate business requirements into clear data requirements and explain technical topics in business terms.
- High motivation and self-direction with a strong sense of ownership.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment with evolving priorities.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; identify anomalies, determine root cause, and recommend solutions.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to influence.
