Data Domain Architect Lead [Multiple Positions Available]

DESCRIPTION:

Duties: Work between CB Decision Sciences, Data & Analytics, and Global Technology as it relates to AWS migration helping to guide and design geospatial data and geospatial analytics ecosystems. Work with partners in Real Estate, Corporate Strategy, Distribution Strategy, Data and Analytics, and various lines of business to understand and document analytic project objectives, deliverables, and timelines. Ensure constant two-way communication with partners throughout the analytic journey from data engineering through modeling and end deliverables. Work with partners and teammates to identify and collect data from various relational databases, datamarts, or big data file stores. Ensure that data use documentation complies with internal controls framework. Develop data driven solutions with current and next generation data technologies to meet organizational needs. Partner with Technology, Legal, and Sourcing to explore and onboard cloud-based geospatial technologies in support of analytics and modeling activities. Produce data visualizations and spatial data visualizations in in support of data engineering, data validation, analytic, and modeling based activities.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Minimum education and experience required: Master's degree in Geographic Information Systems, Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, Economics, Applied Math, Operations Research, Physics, Informatics, or related field of study plus five (5) years of experience in the job offered or as Data Domain Architect Lead, Data Scientist, Research and Development Specialist, Data Specialist, or related occupation. The employer will alternatively accept a PhD in Geographic Information Systems, Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, Economics, Applied Math, Operations Research, Physics, Informatics, or related field of study plus two (2) years of experience in the job offered or as Data Domain Architect Lead, Data Scientist, Research and Development Specialist, Data Specialist, or related occupation.

Skills Required: This position requires two (2) years of experience with the following: Leveraging AWS foundational, data storage, and extraction technologies with S3; Performing spatial data analysis, spatial data engineering, and developing spatial data science models using Esri, QGIS, PostGIS, or Carto; Performing spatial data analysis, spatial data engineering, and developing spatial data science models leveraging Python or R; Performing SQL queries for data analysis and data engineering processes using distributed computing technologies such as Spark, EMR, Hive, or PIG; Performing spatial optimization analysis including route planning and spatially constrained optimizations; Establishing and implementing a strategic plan for geospatial data storage, analysis and visualization platforms; Producing and interacting with geospatial file formats including open source formats such as geojson, and proprietary formats such as Esri's File or Enterprise Geodatabases.

Full-Time. Salary: $172,000 - $190,000 per year.
