Job summary
As a Data Analytics and Reporting Specialist in Home Lending Operations, you build and maintain reporting products while delivering deep analytical insights that improve performance and processes. You use data from multiple sources to identify trends, explain outcomes, and recommend actions. You apply statistical and machine learning techniques where appropriate to support operational optimization and business initiatives. You help evaluate opportunities to use large language models and analytics automation to improve workflows. You communicate clearly so stakeholders can act with confidence.
Job responsibilities
- Develop, test, and maintain operational and analytical reports and dashboards using SQL and business intelligence tools
- Extract, transform, and synthesize data from multiple sources to produce reliable metrics and insights
- Perform data discovery and in-depth analysis on high-volume datasets to support home lending operational initiatives
- Apply statistical methods and machine learning techniques to uncover drivers, improve performance, and optimize processes
- Define success metrics, measurement approaches, and reporting requirements with business and operational stakeholders
- Identify opportunities to use large language models and analytics automation to improve workflows and reduce manual effort
- Implement monitoring and quality checks to improve data integrity, report stability, and metric consistency
- Document logic, definitions, and assumptions to enable repeatable reporting and auditable analysis
- Support process improvement and automation efforts from pilot through production readiness
- Partner with risk and control stakeholders to align reporting and analytics to applicable standards and controls

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Bachelor's degree in a quantitative, analytical, or related field
- Five years of experience in quantitative data analysis
- Five years of experience writing SQL for relational databases, including Oracle
- Five years of experience developing dashboards and reports using business intelligence tools (for example, Alteryx, Power BI, Tableau, SSRS, or ThoughtSpot)
- Experience programming in Python for data analysis and automation
- Experience applying statistical analysis methods to real business or operational problems
- Ability to translate business questions into analytical approaches, metrics, and clear outputs
- Strong written and verbal communication skills across technical and non-technical audiences
- Strong time management and prioritization skills, with the ability to manage multiple deliverables
- Strong attention to detail and organization, including documentation and validation practices
Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Experience supporting home lending operations, products, or related functions
- Familiarity with generative artificial intelligence concepts, including basic prompt development and evaluation
- Experience implementing process improvements, operational testing, or production monitoring for analytics solutions
- Experience influencing stakeholders through negotiation and practical, win-win solutions
