As the Control Manager - Asia CEM Trading - Associate within the team, you will oversee and govern the control environment, facilitate Front Office supervision, and prepare the business for regulatory exams and audits. You will identify control gaps, implement firm-wide policies, and manage operational risk, working closely with risk and control experts across the region.

Job Responsibilities

  • Serve as a trusted control advisor to the Front Office within the controls space
  • Represent Front Office interests in control and regulatory initiatives
  • Execute and implement business controls priorities and strategy
  • Drive control agenda at functional level across critical business unit risks
  • Oversee front office supervisory management and execution
  • Implement and report on control and risk governance
  • Evaluate and perform end-to-end analysis of the business' risk and control environment
  • Identify significant gaps and weaknesses and determine root causes of control breaks
  • Execute ad hoc analytical requests, control deep dives, and projects
  • Prepare the business for controls audits and regulatory exams
  • Review incidents with stakeholders to agree on root causes and deliver remedial actions

Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills

  • Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Economics or other related disciplines
  • Minimum 5+ years of Investment Banking (Markets Business) or Finance sector experience
  • Good understanding of markets and trading products
  • Strong attention to detail and investigative mindset
  • Strong understanding of controls and their application to different processes and businesses. Experience with control design and evaluation
  • Strong analytical, problem solving, and process re-engineering skills
  • Excellent communication, partnering, and influencing skills
  • Ability to independently lead initiatives with exposure to senior Business stakeholders
  • Good organizational skills, able to manage and prioritize multiple tasks
  • Highly motivated self-starter

Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills

  • Experience in a global financial institution
  • Prior exposure to regulatory exams and audits
  • Familiarity with Asia markets and regulatory landscape
