As an Associate in CEEMEA FX Forwards Trading team, you will play a key role in market-making and risk management for CEEMEA currency forwards. You will work closely with clients and internal teams, using your expertise to provide market insights and manage trading activity. You will be empowered to act both independently and as part of a wider team, contributing to the success of the desk and supporting the development of junior colleagues. You will also be responsible for optimizing electronic trading flows and achieving revenue and ranking targets.

Job Responsibilities

  • Make markets in CEEMEA FX forwards, providing liquidity and pricing to clients
  • Manage trading risk associated with client flows, orders, and market events
  • Maintain strict compliance with regulatory and legal requirements
  • Work closely with sales to facilitate client trading strategies
  • Communicate effectively to build and maintain strong client relationships
  • Thrive in a fast-paced environment, remaining focused on client needs
  • Foster a collaborative culture with stakeholders and team members; assist with mentoring and development of junior staff
  • Collaborate with FX Technology and Quantitative Research teams to enhance e-trading systems and workflows
  • Manage and optimise automated trading flows, ensuring efficient execution and risk management
  • Monitor and improve e-commerce platform ranking and performance, aiming to meet or exceed revenue targets
  • Analyze electronic trading data to identify opportunities for growth and efficiency

Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills

  • Demonstrable experience in trading FX forwards, preferably in CEEMEA markets
  • Ability to assess and understand risk around trading positions and market events
  • Maturity and ability to succeed in a dynamic and fast-paced environment
  • Attention to detail
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team
  • Familiarity with electronic trading platforms and automated trading flows

Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills

  • Experience trading at a large bank
  • Experience interacting with major institutional FX clients
  • Experience with electronic market making and e-commerce platforms
  • Experience managing revenue targets and platform rankings

This role encompasses the performance of UK regulated activity. The successful candidate will therefore be subject to meeting UK regulatory requirements in the assessment of fitness, propriety, knowledge and competence as assessed by the Firm and, where appropriate, approval by the UK Financial Conduct Authority and/or the Prudential Regulation Authority to carry out such activities.
