Corporate Banking - Technology & Innovation Economy Banker - Vice President
As a Vice President of the Innovation Economy Team within Global Corporate Banking, you are responsible for managing relationships with public and private companies focusing on technology clients that are headquartered in Australia or New Zealand. This group provides traditional corporate banking products as well partnering across the Firm to deliver a wider suite of services and products. Our business partners include product specialists from Treasury Services, Markets, Loan and Debt Capital Markets, Equity Capital Markets, M&A, Risk Management, Private Banking and Venture Capital Relationship teams. You will report into the industry lead for Innovation Economy across Australia and New Zealand and have an emphasis on business development and market leadership. The primary functions are to generate new business opportunities, represent our Australian banking practice within the technology sector, manage ongoing client relationships, transaction execution and ensuring seamless coordination across internal/external stakeholders.

Job Responsibilities:
- Identify, pursue and execute on opportunities for existing and prospect clients across a broad range of financial products and services
- Manage complex, multi-product client relationships as the primary relationship manager and capable of driving business independently
- Oversee onboarding, implementation and service efforts across multiple internal business partners
- Assist in preparing and reviewing marketing materials for use in client meetings covering topics such as financing, working capital optimization, industry and peer analysis
- Collaborate with credit underwriting team on analysis, structuring, negotiation, and documentation of credit requests
- Initiate and maintain strategic dialogue with existing clients, advisors and prospects to generate ongoing corporate finance, treasury services and credit opportunities
- Strictly comply with all regulatory and JP Morgan Compliance rules, policies, and procedures
Required Qualifications, Capabilities and Skills:
- Bachelor Degree in Finance, Economic, or other related fields
- A minimum of 5 years of experience as an outstanding client/relationship manager
- Strong knowledge of the local technology sector in Australia and New Zealand and proven client relationship skills
- Able to call at the CEO/CFO/Treasurer level and strong corporate finance, credit, and transaction execution skills
- Strong leadership abilities in financial services sales and business development
- Solid credit, analytical, and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communications skills
- Knowledge of credit, corporate finance, treasury, investment banking, and other banking products with execution experience
- Self-motivated, dependable and strong intellectual curiosity
- A top individual contributor, with a strong performance track record
Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities and Skills:
- Knowledge and existing networks in the local technology and venture capital sectors
- Knowledge and experience in Corporate Banking or Investment Banking is preferred
