As a Control Manager within the Issue Management & Advisory, Client Onboarding & Documentation team, you will proactively identify and address operational and technology risks. You will work closely with senior management and business stakeholders to deliver risk reduction solutions and support large-scale change initiatives. Your role is essential in maintaining and enhancing the control environment for Know Your Customer (KYC) Operations and Digital Document Services. You will help foster a culture of proactive risk management and continuous improvement.
You will partner with colleagues across business, operations, legal, compliance, risk, audit, regulators, and technology control functions to drive consistent and rigorous operational risk practices. The team is focused on delivering transformation through technology, including AI and LLM, and supporting the firm's digitization strategy. You will guide data-driven approaches for business analysis and change testing, ensuring sustainable implementation of operational changes.
Job responsibilities
- Identify and dimension operational and technology risks using data analysis and root cause investigation
- Deliver risk reduction solutions in partnership with stakeholders
- Manage and prioritize work to meet internal and regulatory deadlines
- Apply a transformation mindset, leveraging technology including AI and LLM to address risks strategically
- Guide the team on data-driven business analysis and change testing
- Advise on risks and required controls for large-scale change initiatives
- Partner with operations to implement sustainable operational changes
- Foster a proactive risk and control culture using proven evaluation strategies
- Continually reassess key risks and controls to support evolving business and regulatory needs
- Ensure operational practices comply with relevant risk standards, policies, and regulations
- Break down silos and deliver smart solutions to transform the control environment
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- 5 years of experience in risk and controls functions, KYC maker/checker, or audit/compliance background

- Excellent analytical and research skills; detail-oriented with ability to deep-dive and resolve issues
- Experience utilizing new technologies for control or transformation, including AI/LLM or similar tools
- Proficiency with data tools to interrogate data sets
- Quality-focused work ethic with a strong controls mindset
- Strong time management skills; self-directed and able to manage high-pressure, time-sensitive tasks
- Demonstrated flexibility and ability to operate in a transformative environment
