Control Management Analyst

As a Control Management Support Analyst in the Global Investment Banking Control Management team, you will work closely with Control Managers to support the end-to-end controls framework for a specific line of business within Markets and Banking. You will interact with Business Management, Technology, and Operations to ensure effective governance, risk management, and control oversight. You will help implement best-in-class supervisory practices and ensure firm policies and controls are executed accurately.

Job Responsibilities

  • Support governance and reporting activities, including meeting administration, material production, report creation, data quality review, and logistics for Risk & Controls, Business Control Committees, and related forums
  • Execute analytical requests and ad hoc reports related to key operational risk reporting
  • Maintain tools for Senior Business Executives to review and affirm conduct and behavioral metrics, ensuring accurate employee-manager assignments
  • Analyze and track conduct metrics, maintaining evidence of executive attestation and supervisor sign-off
  • Support deal lifecycle control and management, including tool maintenance, workflow documentation, and metrics analysis
  • Track and maintain evidence of correct deal procedures to prevent reputational risk
  • Manage the full lifecycle of operational issues, action plans, and risk events in the Operational Risk System
  • Identify, escalate, and record operational errors, ensuring compliance with risk event standards
  • Track progress and ensure timely closure of risk events, escalating delays and obtaining approvals for extensions
  • Support projects and handle various ad hoc requests as needed

Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills

  • Fluent in English with excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Knowledge of analytics and Tableau
  • Strong team player with exceptional organizational and follow-up skills
  • Strong problem-solving and process re-engineering abilities
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
  • Ability to adapt to changing priorities and multitask effectively

Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills

  • Experience with Alteryx
  • Financial background
  • Experience supporting control management or risk functions
  • Familiarity with operational risk systems and reporting tools
  • Proven ability to drive process improvements
  • Experience working in multinational organizations
  • Demonstrated commitment to accuracy and compliance
