Compliance - Disclosure of Interest - Associate

As a Disclosure of Interest - Associate in the Compliance, Conduct & Operational Risk group, you will be responsible for monitoring and disclosing the firms interests in relevant securities to issuers & regulators. Utilize Project Management skills to lead transformative projects that shape our reporting processes. Drive impactful change, collaborate with experts, and set new standards for excellence.
Job Responsibilities
- Provide advice to all lines of business of the impact of positions & transactions to APAC regulatory reporting and perform rule-based data collation & analytics to support timely responses to inquiries
- Provide oversight and act as an escalation point for our offshore processing team to ensure the timely and accurate monitoring & submission of daily regulatory reporting such as substantial shareholder reporting, takeover reporting and short sell position reporting
- Read & interpret regulatory reporting rules across the APAC region and work closely with and build strong working relationships with key partners such as Global DOI teams, Front Office, Middle Office, Country Compliance, Line of Business Compliance and Legal
- Prepare tailor-made holdings reports for business groups on an ad-hoc basis, support audit & regulatory requests for information and prepare MIS reports for management on a regular basis
- Assist with the implementation of new/revised processes and systems; review, implement & update control procedures for new products & regulations; and run projects to enhance the efficiency of the daily monitoring & report/filing creation processes
- Encourage new ideas and enhancements within the team and participate in change management initiatives
- Set and communicate a clear vision for regulatory reporting project delivery, building and manage roadmaps to achieve key milestones on time
- Lead the delivery of projects, coordinating cross-regional teams and collaborating with internal Technology partners to implement regulatory changes and process enhancements
- Oversee project governance and dependency management, ensuring high standards in development, testing, and delivery
- Track key performance indicators, report on project progress, and ensure quality and operational goals are met
- Drive sprint planning, manage and prioritize project backlogs, and keep projects on track using Agile methodologies

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Bachelor's Degree qualified with a minimum of 4 years relevant experience in APAC regulatory reporting and / or Business Project Management
- Deep understanding of Equity & Equity related products such as a background in Compliance, Legal, Middle Office or other Operations related areas
- Strong attention to detail, problem-solving skills and be able to see the big picture
- Strong analytical, technical and statistical skills. Ability to synthesize / analyze diverse information, develops recommendations, and make decisions
- Good interpersonal and influencing skills; able to communicate effectively and provide timely advice to our stakeholders
- Strong business ethics and integrity when dealing with confidential and sensitive information is also an essential quality
- Proficient in Microsoft Office suite of products
- Project Management Skills - well-organized, structured approach. Ability to achieve tight timelines on complex deliverables. Ability to manage and prioritize projects across cross-functional and regional groups
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, ability to interact with individuals across departments / functions and with senior-level individuals
- Able to manage multiple priorities and work well under pressure
Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Experience in advisory and offshore management functions, will be an advantage
- Understanding of Agile methodologies and project delivery frameworks is advantageous
