Client Billing & Commercial Controls Associate

You will combine operational discipline and a control mindset with a client-service approach to deliver accurate, timely billing and issue resolution for the Neovest business. You will act as a key point of contact for billing inquiries and discrepancies, partnering closely with Front Office, Operations, Finance, Technology, and other infrastructure functions to manage risk, improve processes, and support scalability through strong governance, controls execution, and end-to-end ownership.

Job Responsibilities

  • Billing Execution & Client Inquiry Management
    • You will own end-to-end billing and commercial control activities, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and timely execution.
    • You will serve as a key point of contact for external clients and internal stakeholders on billing inquiries, discrepancies, and issue resolution.
    • You will set clear expectations, provide timely updates, and maintain ownership of client queries through final resolution.
    • You will produce invoices and support collection activities, including monitoring and follow-up on outstanding balances.
  • Reconciliations, Controls, and Risk Management
    • You will perform reconciliations and investigate breaks, variances, and discrepancies, ensuring issues are resolved or escalated appropriately.
    • You will ensure transactions and relevant data are accurately captured in applicable risk management and operational systems.
    • You will execute, evidence, and sign off controls within required timelines, escalating exceptions, emerging risks, and recurring issues.
  • Reporting, Process Improvement, and Scalability
    • You will prepare and present weekly/monthly metrics, risk indicators, trends, and actionable insights to senior management; identify root causes; and partner with stakeholders to implement sustainable corrective actions, including simplification, control enhancement, automation, and documentation to strengthen resiliency.

Required Qualifications, Capabilities and Skills.

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent relevant professional experience.
  • 4+ years of relevant experience in financial services, operations, billing, commissions, reconciliations, controls, finance, or a related function.
  • Clear, professional written and verbal communication skills with external clients and internal stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated end-to-end ownership and ability to manage deliverables independently from initiation through completion.
  • Strong analytical and structured problem-solving capabilities, including break investigation and variance analysis.
  • Strong attention to detail with a well-developed control and risk mindset, including timely escalation of exceptions and emerging risks.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including analyzing and presenting operational or financial data.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize and deliver in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.

Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities and Skills.

  • Experience supporting trading, brokerage, electronic trading, financial technology, or client billing processes.
  • Knowledge of commissions, invoicing, collections, or commercial control processes.
  • Experience producing metrics, risk indicators, trends, and management reporting.
  • Experience with Alteryx, Python, data visualization, or other automation tools.
  • Familiarity with process improvement, operational risk, or control frameworks.
