Job Summary
As a Commodity Sales professional in the Commodity Sales team, you will cover the daily execution for different clients' commodity transaction request and support senior sales to have client interactions and drive the execution of commodity trades. You will work closely with a diverse range of clients to deliver tailored solutions.
Job responsibilities
- Handle , operate and follow up on end-to-end trade process to ensure smooth front to back workflows and accuracy of all the commodity transaction executions, ensuring communication with trading and clients clearly and accurately, and ensure internal controls are followed: check all risk and control measures( incl not limit to execute trade, coordinate with operations to sort out if any settlement, confirmation , Mark-to-Market report, etc. post trade issues)
- Cover the trade execution process daily, ensuring accuracy in trade booking, order taking, and compliance with regulatory standards upon clients' requests
- Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with clients, understanding their unique needs
- Work closely with various internal parties i.e. Sales, Trading, Business Managers, RMs, Operation, IT, Risk, Client Services, Compliance, Legal etc.
- Be able to help on ad-hoc requests from the Sales Desk and Clients. Assist on ad-hoc requests and handle queries in a timely manner, work as partnership while consistently keeping an independent mindset.
- Partner with trading, research, corporate banking, and risk management teams to deliver comprehensive solutions to clients
- Facilitate effective communication between departments to enhance client service

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Experience in derivatives market (ideally as commodities sales for 1-3 years)
- Excellent oral and written communication skills, with the ability to convey complex financial concepts clearly and effectively
- Interpersonal skills
- Ability to work well under pressure. Ability to handle multiple tasks especially intense execution work especially when market is volatile or client has urgent request
- Attention to detail; Ethics and integrity. Meticulous attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high standards of accuracy and compliance
- Fluency in English and Chinese
Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Experience working with clients across the commodity areas
- Familiarity with e-platform sales solutions in commodities trading
- Proven ability to develop and implement strategic sales initiatives
- Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams in a global organization
- Professional qualifications from reputable training institutes or professional bodies in commodities or finance
- Demonstrated success in optimizing sales processes and driving efficiency
