Within Global Philanthropy, the Business Growth & Entrepreneurship team develops and scales strategies that expand access to capital, advice, networks, and market opportunities for businesses that have historically faced barriers to growth. We are seeking a Vice President to lead initiatives focused on small business procurement and contracting, build high-impact partnerships, and engage colleagues across the firm's lines of business to advance small business priorities, including the American Dream Initiative.

The Vice President, Business Growth & Entrepreneurship will lead the development and management of a portfolio designed to help small businesses access procurement, contracting, and supplier opportunities. The role will originate and steward philanthropic investments, shape programs that strengthen supplier readiness and contracting capabilities, support partner performance, and use data and market insights to inform strategy.

A core element of the role is engaging across JPMorganChase's lines of business and Corporate Responsibility functions to align small business efforts and translate procurement demand into practical opportunities for entrepreneurs. The Vice President will cultivate partnerships with business leaders, supplier-focused teams, community organizations, government, and other ecosystem stakeholders to help small businesses build the capabilities, certifications, financing, and connections needed to compete for and successfully deliver corporate and government contracts. The role will also help activate the small business pillar of the American Dream Initiative by connecting philanthropic investments with the firm's business, policy, research, and market capabilities.

Corporate Responsibility (CR) includes Global Philanthropy, Public Engagement, Global Government Relations, the PolicyCenter, the JPMorganChase Institute, and Sustainability. The Global Philanthropy team consists of Employee Engagement & Volunteerism, Impact Finance, and national and local grantmaking teams.

The Vice President will bring strong program leadership, subject matter expertise, and relationship-management skills, as well as the ability to operate effectively across a complex organization. Success in this role requires translating the needs of small businesses and procurement partners into actionable initiatives; convening and influencing stakeholders across lines of business; managing investments and partnerships with discipline; and aligning philanthropy, business priorities, policy engagement, and local market strategies to expand contracting opportunities and measurable outcomes for small businesses under the American Dream Initiative.

Job Responsibilities

  • Leverage subject matter expertise, professional network, data and analysis to design, manage, and evaluate a grant portfolio with a focus on expanding access to capital and small business supplier growth, improving the efficiency and scale of support systems for underserved small businesses, and strengthening outcomes for entrepreneurs across growth stages, ensuring alignment with the firm's business priorities and Corporate Responsibility's social impact agenda
  • Ensure all grants and partnerships are executed in accordance with policies, controls, and Corporate Responsibility procedures
  • Build and maintain a robust network of relationships with government, philanthropic, business, and nonprofit leaders
  • Partner with internal stakeholders, including several business functions and cross-functional partners such as communications, and legal-to drive collaboration and amplify impact
  • Monitor, evaluate, and report on the impact of grants, using insights to shape future strategy and amplify results.

Required qualifications, skills, and capabilities

  • Minimum 8+ years' experience; a bachelor's degree or equivalent experience is required.
  • The ideal candidate will have demonstrated experience in philanthropy, small business development, entrepreneurship, or inclusive economic opportunity initiatives. Strong candidates will have expertise with procurement and supplier development.
  • The candidate will have knowledge of financial products and services that support underserved small businesses (e.g., access to credit, capital solutions, CDFIs, technical assistance).
  • The candidate will have a strong understanding of the policy environment for small businesses and suppliers.
  • The candidate will have experience building and managing partnerships across complex stakeholder environments.
  • The candidate will bring strong portfolio management, program design, and execution skills, including the ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously, apply disciplined project management, and deliver high-quality results under time constraints.
  • The candidate will demonstrate excellent relationship management, written and verbal communication, and executive-ready presentation skills, with the ability to influence without authority and align internal and external partners around shared objectives.
