Lead the delivery of world-class service and operational excellence in Asset Servicing and Proxy Voting, driving quality leadership and measurable performance across APAC Global Custody Markets.
As Vice President, you will oversee the Asset Servicing & Proxy Voting team in Hong Kong, responsible for managing high-risk and complex voluntary corporate actions and providing governance for Proxy Voting services. You will set strategic direction, ensure robust risk management, and champion continuous improvement initiatives to enhance client experience and operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide strategic leadership and oversight for the end-to-end lifecycle of corporate action events, from announcement through instruction reconciliation to completion, ensuring best-in-class service delivery.
- Oversee the governance and accuracy of client proxy votes, ensuring market compliance and timely execution.
- Serve as the senior escalation authority for complex operational issues, driving coordinated resolution across global partners, middle office, client service managers, product, and regional processing teams.
- Drive process review and enhancement, leveraging digital tools and automation to minimize risk and improve operational controls.
- Lead, mentor, and inspire the team, cultivating a culture of accountability, knowledge sharing, and talent development to support succession and organizational growth..
- Ensure timely and accurate completion of control checkpoints, client instructions, and queries, with proactive escalation to internal and external stakeholders as needed.
- Champion risk reduction initiatives, monitor key risk indicators, and ensure compliance with regulatory and internal standards.
- Represent the team in senior forums, providing updates on operational performance, risk, and client experience.
- Oversee reconciliation and validation of proxy votes from vendors, ensuring accuracy of meeting information provided to clients.
- Lead UAT and implementation of new applications and process changes, ensuring successful adoption and minimal disruption.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, acting as a single point of contact for escalations and strategic initiatives.

Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills:
- Minimum 8 years of industry experience, with proven leadership in Asset Servicing, Corporate Actions, and Proxy Voting within a Custody or Investment Banking environment.
- Demonstrated ability to manage high-performing teams in a fast-paced, risk-based environment.
- Strong analytical and decision-making skills, with a track record of driving change and enhancing controls.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, able to articulate key risks and challenges to senior management.
- Experience leading process enhancement and digital transformation initiatives at a regional or global level.
- Proven ability to manage multiple priorities, meet tight deadlines, and adapt to changing environments.
- Experience in UAT testing, market process requirements, and implementation of new operational processes.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in strategic project management and cross-functional leadership.
- Proven record of successful risk reduction and operational improvement.
- Ability to influence and drive change across global teams.
