Role Description and Functions

In this role, you will be responsible for managing and growing relationships with institutional clients in Germany, providing strategic advice, and delivering tailored financial solutions to meet their unique needs. As an industry expert, the ideal candidate will be a proactive and enthusiastic professional who is eager to share their expertise and continuously develop in their role with a long-term perspective at JPMAM. You will work collaboratively within the Institutional Team in Germany and Austria and across business lines, pursuing the client coverage strategy across all our asset classes and always prioritizing the best interests of our clients.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with German institutional clients and your book of clients, understanding their needs and providing tailored solutions across pensions, incl. corporate pensions, SFOs, and Endowments as well as respective investment consultants.
  • Lead business development efforts to identify and pursue new opportunities within the institutional market and across all our asset classes, taking ownership for managing the pipeline from opportunity through execution. Contribute to overall coverage strategy in the region.
  • Monitor market trends and provide insights to clients to help them achieve their financial goals.
  • Partner across Lines of Business (LOBs) both locally and around the world to leverage resources and expertise for client solutions.
  • Collaborate with internal Asset Management teams to deliver comprehensive financial strategies and services.
  • Identify any gaps in investment strategy, products, services, operations, or client coverage, and take the lead in ensuring resolution to enhance client satisfaction and business performance.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and company policies
  • Represent the company at industry events and conferences.

Required Qualifications, Capabilities and Skills

  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in institutional client advisory or a similar role within the Asset Management industry, Investment Consultancy, Corporate and Investment Banking or similar, covering the German institutional market.
  • Entrepreneurial spirit and passion for client development incl. proven track record of successful client relationship management and business development across traditional asset classes and alternatives.
  • Solution oriented, proactive and enthusiastic professional with very high-quality standards, who is eager to share their expertise and continuously develop in their role with a long-term perspective at JP Morgan Asset Management.
  • Strong understanding of financial markets and their long-term drivers, investment strategies, and regulatory environments.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment, successfully navigation the global organisation, understanding and respecting diverse cultural norms and practices. Demonstrates the ability to work across international boundaries, ensuring compliance and alignment with global objectives.
  • Willingness to travel in Europe and globally on a regular basis.
  • German language proficiency
  • Minimum Bachelor's degree in finance, economics, Business Administration, or a related field; M.Sc., M.A., MBA or CFA preferred
