Asset Management - Head of Alternatives - LATAM - Executive Director

Role Summary

You will help drive and win business across institutional and retail clients to launch, and drive Alternative Asset growth in Latam.

Job Responsibilities

  • Drive & win placement of J.P. Morgan private and liquid alternative across all channels including Institutions, private banks, affluent/retail distributors, asset managers and family offices
  • Drive product ideation & development (including emerging trends, product features and architecture) with product & distribution partners
  • Work with Product Development teams to adjust products to launch in Latam markets
  • Work with a team of Client Advisors across the region to drive toward asset growth in both markets
  • Perform a variety of sales functions including client meetings, client follow-up, proposal generation, presentations, public speaking and attending seminar and industry events
  • Cultivate and leverage the Alternatives Center of Excellence in Latam to drive towards efficient product development and delivery
  • Partner with GSR, client advisors and investment specialists to coordinate, and manage campaigns and marketing support activities.
  • Remain closed connected with Alternatives group in the US to ensure that product development incorporates features required for Latam, to the extent possible, so that these products can successfully be distributed in those regions
  • Deliver ongoing internal and external education on the asset class
  • Become voice for AM alternative solutions at industry events, media, etc.
  • Measure & continually improve impact of efforts
  • Represent emerging trends to drive product development & distribution strategy

Required qualifications, capabilities and skills

  • Client focused sales professional with 10+ years' successful track record driving asset management sales results
  • Experience in the alternative space
  • Client-focused - possessing the ability to align processes, procedures, systems, and personnel to meet the needs of clients both Institutional and Retail
  • Excellent communication & partnership skills.
  • Strong project management & execution skills.
  • Desire & ability to thrive in a challenging and collaborative environment across teams
  • Frequent travel is required

Preferred qualifications, capabilities and skills

  • Spanish, French and Portuguese Knowledge
  • Private Credit, Infrastructure and/or Real Estate experience is a plus
