DESCRIPTION:

Duties: Develop industry standard architecture and patterns to be incorporated in global technology. Work directly with senior architects within lines of business to validate and coordinate changes to existing and net new designs and establish viability of the architecture. Present architecture to CIO's and heads of engineering and architecture. Act as a technical leader and establish vision for the domain to design and build out target state architecture without the need for direct engagement of the architecture council working group chairs.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Minimum education and experience required: Bachelor's degree in Electronics Engineering, Economics, Finance, Financial Engineering, Cloud Computing, Cyber Security, Computer Science, Data Science, or related field of study plus 7 years of experience in the job offered or as Architect, Systems Analyst, Software Developer, IT Consultant, or related occupation.

Skills Required: This position requires experience with the following: Designing and deploying applications on AWS platform; Leveraging AWS services to architect cloud solutions that align with business objectives; Utilizing AWS cloud architecture to drive digital transformation and innovation within an organization; Optimizing cloud resources to ensure efficient and effective use of technology to support enterprise goals; Azure's comprehensive suite of services including computer, networking, storage, and security; Integrating on-premises environments with Azure, managing migrations, and implementing security and compliance measures to safeguard enterprise data and meet regulatory requirements; Working with engineering teams within the Azure space to enable Azure services for enterprise applications; Designing and implementing robust security controls, managing identity and access through Azure Active Directory and role-based access control, and configuring network security measures to protect endpoints from unauthorized access; Azure data protection strategies including encryption and data loss prevention, to secure sensitive information processed by Azure platforms; Using Azure Security Center and Azure Sentinel for threat detection and response as critical control constraints to ensure the integrity and availability of Robotics, AI-driven applications, and adherence to compliance and governance standards; Designing or deploying scalable and secure machine learning (ML) workloads in the public cloud using the Databricks, Snowflakes and Azure Synapse Analytics; Leveraging unified Lakehouse architecture to manage and process multi-petabyte enterprise datasets; Optimizing data pipelines and ensuring seamless integration and scalability of ML models across public and private data sets including regulatory and governance pertaining to the datasets; Designing and implementing robust security measures to protect data and ML workloads and ensuring compliance with industry standards; Enterprise architecture principles within TOGAF methodology, including its phases and components for regulatory compliance, security standards and data protections; Using Architecture Development Method (ADM) & ITIL principles to translate industry standards, emerging technologies, and best practices into architecture decision records to implement change management and risk assessment across an organization; Simplifying tech stacks and adopting automation; Performing strategic design and planning to lead strategic domains from its foundation to completion; Leading petabyte scale platforms with one million plus transactions per sec threshold and products end-to-end, including identifying, triaging and mitigating incidents and issues; Articulating business to technology requirements both verbally and in written form as part of decision records, strategy papers, position papers and architectural diagrams; Participating in strategic planning, prioritizing features, and overseeing architecture implementation process; Cloud cost management principles and FinOps methodology including cost allocation and chargeback, Budgeting and forecasting, and Cost optimization to maximize business value; Interpreting financial data and identifying potential cost-saving opportunities; cloud platforms, budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting using Tableau, Qlik, and PowerBI for driving transparency and accountability in cloud expenditures. This position requires the following certifications: AWS Certified Solutions Architect; Azure Solutions Architect Expert; Azure Security Engineer Associate.
