As part of our Screening Team, you will play a pivotal role in advancing the firm's multifamily housing goals by assisting the team and the GSEs in solving real-world challenges that impact our company, customers, and communities. As a Screening Senior Associate in the Screening Team, you will leverage your credit training, data analysis, loan structuring, and client management skills for Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac Conventional multifamily loans.
Job Responsibilities:
- Utilize preliminary underwriting skills and knowledge of Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac guidelines and pricing to independently size loans and author concise, thoughtful transaction analyses, identifying key risks at the pre-application stage
- Work proactively with the Banking team to ensure timely quotes and terms are delivered to clients
- Collaborate with internal and external cohorts to ensure efficient and quick progression of deal intake through application
- Analyze due diligence documents and develop a comprehensive understanding of collateral, cash flow, sponsor, and market risks for quote submissions prior to loan application
- Work through conventional transactions, including but not limited to standard multifamily, student housing, manufactured housing, and lease-up properties
- Contribute to platform infrastructure and processes through special projects
Required Qualifications, Skills, and Capabilities:
- BS or advanced degree with a business focus
- Minimum of 2+ years' experience in commercial real estate, including pre-application screening and GSE quote submissions.\"
- CRE multifamily knowledge
- Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word
Preferred Qualifications, Skills, and Capabilities:
- Experience with Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac systems and applications
- Experience using CLOSER (Commercial Loan Origination Securitization Enterprise Reporting) system
