Position Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Sr SAP Developer to join our IT team. This role is perfect for a seasoned developer who thrives on tackling complex SAP projects and driving technical excellence. You will partner closely with business users and project teams to transform business requirements into robust, scalable technical solutions within SAP.

Your primary focus will be hands-on SAP development — coding, configuring, and enhancing SAP systems — while also providing technical leadership and mentoring to ensure quality and best practices across projects.

Job Responsibilities

  • Translate complex business requirements into technical designs and development plans.
  • Lead the full development lifecycle: coding, configuring, testing, and deploying SAP solutions.
  • Develop custom code and enhancements using ABAP, WebDynPro for ABAP, Web UI, and other SAP development tools.
  • Configure SAP modules including C4C, SD, ECC, S/4, and NetWeaver to meet evolving business needs.
  • Conduct master data preparation, cleansing, and migration to support implementations and upgrades.
  • Execute unit testing and assist in user acceptance testing to ensure solution quality.
  • Provide technical leadership on large-scale, complex SAP projects.
  • Collaborate with other areas within IT to resolve integration and data issues.
  • Mentor junior developers and share knowledge of SAP development best practices and new technologies.
  • Evaluate and recommend innovative technical solutions to improve business processes and system performance.
  • Work with outside resources and vendors on new initiatives and technologies.

Qualifications

Education

  • Bachelor's Degree in Management Information Systems, Business or technology related field.

Experience

  • 6+ years experience in design, development, configuration, implementation and support of application systems.
  • 3+ years of development and configuration experience in SAP.
  • Demonstrated experience in SAP programming languages and development tools.

Computer Skills

  • Must be proficient in the use of a PC and MS Office Suite.
  • Ability to design, develop, configure, and implement a wide variety of SAP modules and functions preferably in the areas of C4C, SD, ECC, S/4, and NetWeaver.
  • Knowledge in ABAP, WebDynPro for ABAP, Web UI and other web and .NET development techniques.

Other Requirements

  • Ability to design and develop applications which integrate with other systems, platforms, and external services.
  • Technical knowledge of critical business processes and systems.
  • Knowledge and experience in services oriented architecture a plus.
  • Creative and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to lead development projects utilizing project management methodologies (Generally large projects for Sr. SAP Developer/Analyst).
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work with technical and non-technical users.

Physical Requirements

Work is performed primarily in a standard office environment. Work involves operation of personal computer equipment for extended periods of time.
