Quality Technician

Job Responsibilities:

Conduct in-process, final, and incoming inspections of materials, components, and finished products according to established procedures and specifications.
Perform various quality tests and measurements using precision instruments (e.g., calipers, micrometers, gauges, optical comparators) and interpret results.
Document inspection and test results accurately and completely, identifying and reporting any non-conformances or deviations.
Assist in the investigation of root causes for quality issues and support the implementation of corrective and preventive actions (CAPAs).
Collaborate with production, engineering, and other departments to address quality concerns and improve manufacturing processes.
Maintain and calibrate quality inspection equipment as per schedule and established protocols.
Participate in the review and update of quality control documentation, including work instructions and inspection plans.
Support internal and external audits by providing documentation and responding to inquiries.
Adhere to all safety regulations and company policies, promoting a safe working environment.
Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives by identifying areas for process optimization and suggesting solutions.

Job Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate's degree in a technical field (e.g., Quality, Manufacturing, Engineering) preferred.
1-3 years of experience in a quality control or quality assurance role within a manufacturing environment, preferably in electronics, medical devices, or a similar industry.
Proficient in reading and interpreting technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications.
Demonstrated ability to use various inspection and measurement tools accurately.
Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
Good understanding of quality management systems (e.g., ISO 9001, ISO 13485) and quality tools (e.g., 5 Whys, Fishbone diagrams) preferred.
Basic computer proficiency, including experience with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel).
Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
Effective written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to lift and move up to 25 pounds as needed.
