Manufacturing Engineer Technician III

• Monitor SMT line performance, identify potential issues, and implement corrective actions to improve efficiency, quality, and yield.
• Applies substantial understanding of the job, knowledge and skill to complete a wide range of tasks. Receives little work instruction on daily work and general instructions on newly introduced assignments.
• Calibrate equipment using general and special purpose test equipment.
• Maintain sufficient data to develop process improvement initiatives.
• May assist in the development of work procedures.
• May maintain and store backup information for all critical production equipment software systems.
• Provide technical support to production operators, offering guidance and training on SMT equipment operation and basic troubleshooting.
• Comply and follow all procedures within the company security policy.
• May perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

How Will You Get here? -

Education:

• Associate's degree in Electronics, Mechatronics, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience, is required

Experience:

• Five (5) to eight (8) years prior work experience in SMT Equipment and Programming

KNOWLEDGE, Skills and Abilities:

• Knowledge of company policies and procedures to complete assigned tasks, including understanding of safety practices requirements.

• Personal computer operation in a Windows environment (Excel, Word and PowerPoint and e-mail).

• Use of specialized programs

• Familiarity with IPC standards and quality control principles

• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Strong understanding of SMT processes, equipment operation, and common defects

Preferred Qualifications:

• 8+ years of experience in SMT Equipment and Programming is preferred
• Manufacturing experience is a plus
• Bachelor's Degree in Electronics, Mechatronics or other technical field is preferred
