Manufacturing Engineer
Job Summary
The Manufacturing Engineer is responsible for planning, developing, and optimizing integrated production and service delivery systems to ensure performance, reliability, maintainability, schedule compliance, and cost efficiency within the manufacturing site.
This role drives operational excellence by enhancing profitability, quality, adaptability, responsiveness, and continuous improvement throughout the product lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform and support High-Level Assembly (HLA) processes, including developing standardized procedures and conducting operator training.
- Interpret and analyze assembly drawings, part drawings, and technical specifications; experience in medical device assembly is advantageous.
- Conduct Design for Manufacturability (DFM) assessments and prepare technical reports for cross-functional stakeholders.
- Develop and maintain PFMEA, process flow diagrams, control plans, and process risk assessments.
- Collaborate closely with Operations, Technical, and Quality teams through tier meetings to address production issues and drive improvements.
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives focused on quality, productivity, and delivery performance using structured improvement methodologies.
- Review and implement Engineering inputs including Engineering Change Orders (ECOs), new product introductions, configuration control updates, and marking requirements.
- Manage and support BOM structures, ECN/PCN processes, and shop floor control systems.
- Monitor daily production metrics and implement improvements using Lean manufacturing tools such as Cycle Time analysis, TAKT Time, Labor Balance Ratio (LBR), and waste elimination techniques.
- Partner with R&D, New Product Development, and Quality teams to ensure manufacturability of new products.
- Ensure full compliance with safety, health, and company security policies.
Qualifications & Experience
- Diploma or Degree in Mechanical, Mechatronics, or related Engineering discipline.
- Minimum 5 years of relevant manufacturing engineering experience.
- Strong understanding of Lean Manufacturing, risk management tools, and engineering change processes.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and cross-functional communication skills.
