This role is a 12-hour rotating Night Shift, 2-2-3 Continental Shift, 645pm to 7am
JOB SUMMARY
Responsible for the preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of production equipment and facility systems to ensure continuous operation during night shifts.
Job Responsibilities
Perform scheduled preventative maintenance on injection molding machines, automated assembly equipment, and other production machinery.
Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems failures.
Troubleshoot complex equipment issues, utilizing schematics, manuals, and diagnostic tools.
Conduct routine inspections of equipment and facility infrastructure, identifying and addressing potential problems.
Collaborate with production teams to minimize downtime and optimize equipment performance.
Document all maintenance activities, including repairs, parts used, and time spent, in a CMMS system.
Assist in the installation and commissioning of new equipment.
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment, adhering to all safety protocols and company policies.
Participate in continuous improvement initiatives related to equipment reliability and maintenance processes.
Respond to emergency breakdowns and provide timely resolution to minimize production interruptions.
EDUCATION AND MINIMUM EXPERIENCE
High School Diploma or GED required; Associate's degree in Industrial Maintenance, Electro-Mechanical Technology, or a related field preferred.
3-5 years of experience in industrial maintenance, preferably within a manufacturing environment (plastics/injection molding experience highly desired).
Strong mechanical aptitude and proficiency in troubleshooting and repairing mechanical systems.
Solid understanding of electrical systems, including schematics, PLC troubleshooting (basic understanding), and motor controls.
Experience with hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, blueprints, and schematics.
Proficiency with various hand and power tools, as well as diagnostic equipment.
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods.
Must be able to work night shifts and occasional weekends as needed.
* Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing principles and 5S methodology is a plus.
