- Ensures software meets high quality, performance, and reliability standards through disciplined testing practices.
- Designs and executes automated tests for functional, integration, regression, and performance scenarios.
- Identifies defects early and partners with engineers to resolve issues before release.
- Tracks and reports test progress, coverage, and defect trends to support informed decision-making.
- Improves release confidence and delivery velocity through strong test coverage and validation.
- Owns automated test frameworks, scripts, and supporting tools across assigned applications.
- Defines testing strategies for new features and existing systems, emphasizing testability and robustness.
- Integrates automated testing into CI/CD pipelines to ensure continuous quality validation.
- Participates in design and code reviews to advocate for quality-first implementation.
- Follows issues through resolution, maintaining accountability for test outcomes.
- Builds scalable, maintainable automation frameworks that reduce manual testing effort.
- Uses CI/CD tools and version control systems to streamline test execution and reporting.
- Identifies performance bottlenecks and collaborates with engineers to optimize system behavior.
- Applies strong organizational skills to manage multiple test efforts in parallel.
- Continuously refines testing processes to reduce rework and accelerate feedback cycles.
- Advocates for modern test automation practices and emerging testing technologies.
- Experiments with new tools and frameworks to improve coverage, speed, and reliability.
- Applies performance and load testing techniques to simulate production-like conditions.
- Uses data from testing and metrics to suggest improvements to product design and architecture.
- Stays current on trends in automation, CI/CD, and quality engineering to strengthen practices.
- Proficiency in one or more programming languages such as C#, Java, Python, or JavaScript
- Strong experience with test automation frameworks (e.g., Selenium, Appium, Playwright, Cypress)
- Experience integrating automated tests into CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or Azure DevOps
- Experience with API testing tools such as Postman or RestAssured
- Solid understanding of software testing methodologies and quality assurance processes
- Familiarity with Agile development methodologies (Scrum, Kanban)
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and debugging skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
- High attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality software
- Experience with performance testing tools (e.g., JMeter, LoadRunner)
- Familiarity with security and compliance frameworks (e.g., SOC 2, GDPR, HIPAA)
- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
- Knowledge of containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes
