- Defines and evolves performance, reliability, and scalability strategy aligned with platform and business goals.
- Establishes performance acceptance criteria, workload models, and benchmarking standards for distributed systems.
- Ensures performance considerations are embedded into architecture reviews, design discussions, and release readiness processes.
- Partners with engineering and product leadership to shape long-term reliability and performance roadmaps.
- Anticipates scaling risks and systemic bottlenecks before they impact customers.
- Leads end-to-end performance, load, stress, resiliency, and scalability testing for complex, cloud-native systems.
- Improves system throughput, latency, uptime, and stability across microservices and Kubernetes environments.
- Conducts deep-dive analysis of performance failures and production degradations, driving corrective and preventive actions.
- Uses data from benchmarks, tests, and production telemetry to deliver measurable improvements in system behavior.
- Ensures performance engineering outcomes translate into improved customer experience and platform confidence.
- Serves as a trusted performance expert for engineering, architecture, platform, SRE, and operations teams.
- Works closely with SRE and platform teams to mature monitoring, logging, alerting, and telemetry frameworks.
- Partners with engineers to remediate performance bottlenecks across application, database, infrastructure, and network layers.
- Mentors engineers on performance testing, capacity planning, and designing systems for scale and resilience.
- Leads cross-team performance initiatives and reliability programs spanning multiple product areas.
- Clearly communicates performance risks, findings, and recommendations to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Translates complex performance data into actionable insights that inform engineering and product decisions.
- Facilitates alignment across teams during performance reviews, incident analysis, and release readiness discussions.
- Documents performance strategies, standards, and outcomes to support shared understanding and consistency.
- Influences architectural decisions through clear, evidence-based performance guidance.
- Extensive experience in performance testing and performance engineering for distributed, cloud-native applications
- Expert-level proficiency with performance testing tools such as JMeter, LoadRunner, k6, or similar
- Strong experience with Azure cloud environments, .NET-based systems, Kubernetes, and microservices architectures
