Role Summary
InvoiceCloud is seeking a highly organized, execution-focused Product Program Manager to drive alignment, velocity, and predictability across our most mission-critical product programs.
You’ll be the operational engine behind cross-functional execution—coordinating teams, managing risks and dependencies, running program cadences, and ensuring pilots, releases, and cross-team execution operate smoothly.
This is a mid-level role based in Hyderabad, where many of our development teams are located. You will report to the VP, Product Strategy and partner closely with the Head of Product Operations. This role will lead the development of the program operating system—planning, alignment, documentation discipline, risk/dependency management, and execution visibility.
What You’ll Do
Operational rigor (program planning + structure)
- Build and maintain integrated program plans that connect roadmap → release planning → readiness milestones.
- Own the critical path and drive early identification of bottlenecks, risks, and cross-team dependencies.
- Stand up/maintain program standards: documentation, decision logs, status reporting, and operating rhythms.
- Cross-team coordination
- Act as connective tissue across Engineering, Design, Customer Success, Sales, Implementation, Legal, Marketing, and external partners/consultants as needed.
- Proactively surface blockers and drive resolution—keeping teams aligned on decisions, context, and sequencing.
- Enforce documentation and communication standards; raise risks early with clear options and recommendations.
Cadence + visibility (no surprises)
- Run core program cadences (e.g., weekly program syncs, cross-functional overlays, periodic leadership check-ins as needed).
- Create lightweight program dashboards and consistent updates so stakeholders stay informed, aligned, and unblocked.
Pilot & launch readiness (flexible by program)
- Build and manage pilot / launch playbooks and readiness checklists; coordinate onboarding, enablement, and operational readiness across teams.
- Partner with Product Managers and Customer Success:
- PM owns pilot scope, KPIs, exit criteria, and customer selection/comms strategy
- CS + PM own customer communications
- You own readiness execution, tracking, and cross-functional follow-through
Execution discipline (operating system ownership)
- Ensure sprint/release alignment and change control mechanics; maintain traceability across plans, decisions, and versioning.
- Help the organization meet program predictability goals (planning hygiene and delivery accuracy), while PMs remain accountable for scope decisions.
What Success Looks Like (First 30/60/90 Days)
First 30 days
- You’ve taken ownership of program cadences for 1–2 initiatives and established a clear “single source of truth” (plan, RAID, decision log, status format).
- You’ve baseline-assessed planning hygiene and dependency hotspots across the programs you support.
By 60 days
- You are running clean cadences for 2–3 mission-critical programs, operating in 2-week sprints with continuous releases and quarterly product announcements.
- Engineering teams supporting your programs consistently maintain ~3 sprints of pre-planned work and cross-functional dependencies are explicitly committed by required teams.
By 90 days
- Programs are measurably more predictable:
- 90% delivery accuracy within 90 days (as defined by your program tracking and committed milestones)
- Fewer late escalations and fewer “surprise” scope-impacting dependency discoveries
- At least one AI-enabled workflow is live that reduces reporting/admin overhead or improves early risk detection.
What You Bring (Required)
- 4 to 7 years' experience in program/project management (or equivalent) in SaaS/enterprise software environments.
- Demonstrated success coordinating multi-team initiatives with real dependencies and multiple stakeholders.
- Strong operational rigor: planning, risk management, facilitation, and crisp written communication.
- Comfortable partnering with engineering teams and navigating technical sequencing/integration concepts.
- Working proficiency with delivery/documentation tools (Jira, Confluence) and collaboration tools (Slack, Teams).
Nice to Have
- Exposure to scaled agile patterns (SAFe-like coordination) and continuous delivery environments.
- Familiarity with product analytics/BI tooling (e.g., Pendo, Tableau).
- Fintech/payments, AI/ML, or customer service technology experience.
How You’ll Use AI in This Role
We expect you to actively use AI to reimagine program management—as a practical force multiplier, not hype.
- Automate reporting: produce first-draft weekly updates, exec summaries, and release comms; validate against Jira/Confluence before publishing.
- Risk & dependency sensing: use AI to summarize signals (tickets, comments, docs) and flag emerging risks earlier.
- Meeting-to-action acceleration: convert notes into owners, actions, due dates, and follow-ups; reduce “lost decisions.”
- Build repeatable workflows: turn what works into templates/playbooks the org can reuse.
- Partner on copilots: collaborate with internal AI/data partners where helpful to improve program visibility and execution.
Location / Travel
- Hyderabad, India (office-based).
- Travel is minimal and needs-based.
