- Owns end-to-end architectural design and evolution of mission-critical, multi-domain systems that underpin InvoiceCloud’s SaaS platform.
- Acts as the accountable technical authority for architectural integrity, proactively identifying risks, tradeoffs, and long-term implications across services and domains.
- Serves as a senior advisor to engineering, product, and operations leaders on complex technology decisions, providing clear guidance with minimal oversight.
- Maintains stewardship over foundational systems, architecture standards, and design principles to ensure consistency, security, and sustainability at scale.

- Designs scalable, reusable architecture patterns and platform capabilities that reduce duplication and accelerate delivery across engineering teams.
- Leads modernization initiatives—including cloud-native and microservices transformations—that improve reliability, performance, and operational efficiency.
- Establishes architectural frameworks, governance models, and technical standards that enable teams to move faster while maintaining quality and compliance.
- Identifies systemic bottlenecks across the platform and drives structural improvements that reduce long-term operational cost and complexity.
- Identifies and applies emerging technologies and modern architectural approaches to solve complex, enterprise-scale challenges.
- Leads proof-of-concept and research initiatives that advance cloud-native, event-driven, and data-informed architecture practices.
- AI / Automation: Champions the use of AI-assisted engineering tools for architecture modeling, system analysis, performance optimization, and design validation to improve speed and decision quality.
- Translates innovation into practical, production-ready solutions that strengthen flexibility, scalability, and future-readiness of the platform.
- Defines and drives cross-domain architectural strategies that directly support business objectives, customer outcomes, and platform scalability.
- Translates product and business strategy into clear, actionable architecture roadmaps that guide investment and execution.
- Delivers high-impact architectural solutions that enable secure, resilient, and performant systems across the organization.
- Measures success through platform outcomes—such as reliability, scalability, delivery velocity, and risk reduction—ensuring architecture decisions deliver tangible value.
- 20+ years of enterprise software engineering experience, with a proven track record leading and delivering large-scale architecture transformations
- Strong background in financial services or FinTech, with preference for experience in payments, banking, or lending platforms
- Deep expertise in distributed systems, microservices, cloud-native architectures, and event-driven design at enterprise scale
- Advanced understanding of Agile delivery, CI/CD pipelines, DevSecOps, and automated testing practices
- Familiarity with AI frameworks and tools such as Semantic Kernel, Azure OpenAI, and LangChain, and their application in modern software and platform design
- Strong working knowledge of security and compliance frameworks, including HIPAA, PCI, and SOC 2
- Exceptional communication and technical leadership skills, with the ability to influence decision-making at all levels of the organization
- .NET technologies (C#, ASP.NET MVC / WebAPI)
- Python and modern JavaScript frameworks (React, Angular)
- SQL Server, T-SQL, and related data platforms
- Azure DevOps, GitHub, and major cloud providers (Azure preferred)
- Infrastructure-as-Code and configuration management tools (Terraform, Ansible, Chef, Puppet)
