Job Description

Primary Function of Position 

Tech Serve as the digital solutions technology expert. Understand how our digital solutions integrate with Intuitive’s robotic platforms and within the hospital enterprise. Support the sales process through the preparation and presentation of consultative integration strategies for our digital application infrastructure. This role reports to Digital Sales Manager

 

Essential Job Duties

• Serve as the digital solutions technology expert within the Digital Sales Team – part of Intuitive’s Commercial group.
• Understand how our digital solutions integrate with Intuitive’s robotic platforms and within the hospital enterprise. Support the sales process through the preparation and presentation of consultative integration strategies for our digital application infrastructure.
• Collaborate with customers and sales partners to develop functionality requirements that will establish the definition for the project. Effectively navigate hospital technology intake processes to gain acceptance and prioritization for our implementation.
• Partner with colleagues to achieve implementation goals, ensuring thorough documentation and careful project transitions, to satisfy the clinical expectations.
• Collaborate with product development and go to market teams to identify industry trends and strengthen digital solutions, providing feedback to shape product direction. Support the development of customer-facing technical documentation.

Qualifications

Required Skills and Experience

• Minimum 8+ years of work experience in medical device consulting with specialization in healthcare technology
• Software & implementation experience with hospitals
• Previous experience in building and presenting architecture diagrams, addressing technical questionnaires and RFI/RFPs, and translating clinical expectations into technical requirements
• Understanding of Hospitals technical acquisition and implementation processes, healthcare technology market, and industry trends
• Advanced knowledge of cyber security, data, server, database, storage, HL7 and DICOM interfaces as well as cloud and cloud hosted services
• Strong understanding of network operations, configuration, and troubleshooting (TCP/IP, HTTPS, router skills, VLANs, VPN, firewall, NAT/PAT) required as mandatory
• Strong project management skills
• Demonstrates strong learning agility and business acumen
• Act as subject matter expert for technical specifications and requirements for digital solutions with customers and internally with cross-functional teams
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with all levels of stakeholders – operational, clinical, and technical
• Experience with audio/video capture devices and virtual collaboration tools. Basic knowledge of video endoscopy systems, OR integration systems, operating rooms, and procedure rooms is preferred

 

Required Education and Training

• Minimum Bachelor’s Degree (Software engineering, computer science, or information technology is preferred)

 

Working Conditions

• Able to enter surgical and other patient care areas
• Able to travel up to 50%. Some short notice travel required
