Primary Function of Position:
The Endoluminal Director, Japan Sales and Marketing role will guide the company through the pre-commercial phase into product launch and sales of the Ion Endoluminal System in Japan. This role requires a balance of strategic vision and tactical execution, leveraging deep market insights, clinical knowledge, and stakeholder collaboration to drive awareness, adoption, and customer satisfaction. The individual will be responsible for establishing and growing the commercial sales of the Ion Endoluminal system through the recruitment, training and management of a commercial sales and marketing team. This role requires a deep understanding of both front line selling and leading managers to deliver on short-term objectives that will translate into durable long-term performance. A deep understanding of medical device business practices and reimbursement structures in Japan will be necessary to ensure the successful adoption of the Ion Endoluminal System in Japan.

Roles and Responsibilities:
- Hire, develop & lead commercial sales and marketing teams
- Coach the team towards high performance, talent retention, efficiency, and effectiveness
- Nurture the Intuitive Individual and Leadership Expectations throughout the organization and create an environment of continuous personal and professional development
- Identify, develop & implement strategies that drive early adoption and ensure clinical & economic validation can be scaled through early adopters
- Build a positive company image and increase market acceptance by collaborating with customers, government, community organizations, and employees
- Be responsible for developing a network of Key Opinion Leading physicians in the field of Interventional Pulmonology, Advanced Bronchoscopy and Thoracic Surgery
- Accountability for the revenue and expenses directly attributable to the business
- Interact and communicate on a regular basis with regional and global commercial leadership
- Ability to travel up to 70%

Skills, Experience, Education, & Training:
- Exceptional leadership skills with deep business acumen
- Proven track record in hiring, leading, motivating and developing a high achieving sales force in a fast-growing organization
- Ability to understand trends, technology and opportunities across the market, and then convert that knowledge into activities that increase business success
- Ability to build professional business relationships at various levels of physician leadership, hospital leadership, and government healthcare administration bodies
- Experience with capital equipment sales with strongly preferred, supporting transactions >100,000,000 JPY per transaction
- Clinical acumen lung health specialties is preferred
- Microsoft Office expertise
- Minimum Bachelor’s degree required and MBA or other advanced degree preferred
