Job Summary
Werfen is seeking a highly motivated and people centered People Partner to play a key role in supporting the People Function of the Transfusion and Transplant business units. This position will partner closely with the People Function Business Partners to deliver high quality HR guidance, support core People Function programs, and help drive a positive and engaging workplace. Based in our Norcross office, this role contributes to the effectiveness of our People Function through strong relationship building, sound judgement and a proactive approach to the employee experience and organizational needs. This role will report into the People Function Business Partner of the Transfusion business unit.
Responsibilities
Key Accountabilities
- Partner with department leaders, site managers, employees, and People Business Partners to support People initiatives across the full employee lifecycle, ensuring con-sistent process execution and a positive employee experience.
- Provide guidance and subject‑matter expertise on People processes, policies, and best practices to ensure efficient and compliant execution of daily HR activities.
- Partner with People Business Partners and people managers to consult on complex employee relations and performance matters, including developing, reviewing, and implementing performance improvement plans and disciplinary actions.
- Ensure all ER and performance actions align with company policies, labor laws, and best practices to drive accountability, mitigate risk, and support a fair and positive employee experience.
- Lead and conduct investigations ranging from simple to highly complex, including employee relations issues, EEOC and DOL charges, and hotline complaints, in part-nership with People Business Partners, Global Compliance, and Legal.
- Document investigation findings thoroughly and ensure adherence to regulatory and internal compliance standards.
- Leverage people data and employee insights to identify trends, inform decision-making, and recommends actions that enhance employee experience and strengthen organizational effectiveness.
- Develop, implement, and continuously enhance people operations processes, strate-gies, frameworks, and practices that promote fairness, consistency, and compliance across the organization.
- Coordinate and collaborate on immigration-related processes in partnership with ex-ternal counsel, vendors, and internal stakeholders ensuring compliance with applica-ble regulations and policies.
- Provide policy interpretation guidance to managers and People Business Partners and partner with Total Rewards and Legal to ensure alignment and compliance of People Function policies with organizational standards and Werfen values.
- Support organizational change initiatives by aligning people, systems, and processes with evolving business needs.

Qualifications
Minimum Knowledge & Experience required for the position:
- Bachelor’s Degree (BS/BA) required in Human Resources or other related business field.
- 3-5 years of progressive HR Generalist/Specialist experience, investigating employee relation issues, supporting multiple business units and multiple locations including professional and hourly roles
- High level interpersonal skills to handle sensitive and confidential situations and documen-tation
- Excellent collaboration, communication and customer service
- Knowledge of office administration procedures
Management has the discretion of substituting relevant work experience for a degree and/or making exceptions to the years of experience requirement.
Skills & Capabilities:
- Employee Relations Expertise: Deep understanding of employee relations principles, in-cluding conflict resolution, workplace investigations, performance management, and disci-plinary processes
- Labor law & Compliance knowledge: Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local em-ployment laws, EEOC regulations, DOL requirements, OSHA, and organizational policies
- Investigation Skills: Ability to conduct thorough, impartial, and legally compliant investiga-tions for complaints, grievances, EEOC charges, DOL claims, and internal disputes
- Policy Interpretation and Development: Expertise in interpreting, applying, and revising policies to ensure alignment with organizational goals and regulatory requirements
- Analytical and Data-Driven: Analyze employee relations trends, offboarding data, and workforce metrics to recommend proactive interventions and process improvements
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to present findings, rec-ommendations, and guidance clearly and persuasively to all levels of the organization
- Maintains the highest level of integrity, discretion, and confidentiality in handling sensitive employee matters
- Demonstrates continuous improvement and agility by proactively evaluating existing processes, adapting quickly to changing business needs, and implementing practical, scalable enhancements that improve efficiency, consistency, and the employee experience.
- Ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously, drive policy or process change, and ensure adoption
