Overview

As a Corporate Accountant, you will play a key role in ensuring the integrity of financial reporting and supporting the company's ongoing financial transformation. This position is central to maintaining compliance with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP), corporate accounting policies, and external audit requirements. You will lead critical aspects of the month-end close process, prepare balance sheet reconciliations, and deliver insightful analyses that inform business decisions.

Responsibilities

Month-End Close & Reporting

  • Prepare journal entries, including accruals, with proper documentation and in accordance with GAAP.
  • Complete variance analysis and reporting to support financial insights.
  • Reconcile balance sheet accounts to proper support, including research/resolution of reconciling items.

Analysis & Insights

  • Analyze financial data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities.

Deliver ad hoc analyses and reporting projects to support decision-making. Process Improvement & Collaboration

  • Maintain and enhance accounting policies and procedures.
  • Assist with process improvement initiatives and system evaluations/upgrades.
  • Partner with FP&A and other departments (e.g., HR) to ensure accurate and timely financial results.
  • Coordinate with external auditors to support audit requirements.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting
  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or CPA track preferred
  • Public accounting experience preferred
  • Public company experience preferred
  • 3 to 5 years of progressive accounting experience
  • Strong understanding of US GAAP and financial analysis
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite; advanced Excel skills
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills; ability to collaborate cross teams
  • Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Ability to organize and prioritize responsibilities effectively in order to meet deadlines
